Minato already beat tobi

by your logic lee beats sasuke because he did so in part 1. tobi has gotten so much stronger since then, so much stronger that he is fighting naruto, bee, kakashi and gai all at once. minatos strategy for dealing with tobi before failed once. it will fail again now that tobi has much better defences (mask, fan) and attacks (rinnegan, gedo)
