Well, I have read the manga again(just the needed chapters) in order to see if I am wrong.

Well, first I'll say Kushina is NOT sealed.
Proof: She didn't use the Death Reaper Sealing Technique. Minato did. Only her chakra was sealed, without her soul. Minato had his soul sealed because he was the user of this technique.
But still: we saw people living over 110 years, we saw people that were half crushed by big rocks and they survived, we saw people that were unsealed or revived even though their soul was sealed.
So: years back then, we saw Hiruzen vs Orochimaru fight. I think Kishi could have just erased Minato from this battle if he was sealed. Watching the Edo Tensei technique process didn't have a really good purpose for Tobi, but for us to know:
First: You get the living sacrifice.
Second: After some ritual, you summon the soul of the dead you want to revive
Third: The living sacrifice takes the summoned dead apparence.
Fourth: The revived is sent to fight or put in some box(I don't know the English word...)
During Orochimaru vs Hiruzen fight, Orochimaru summoned the First's, the Second's and was about to summon the Fourth's box(well, this is awkward already...). How did Orochimaru have that box if the soul was sealed? This is my question.

i somehow like ur theory, u got point
first go back to chunin exam time when oro and third hokage fought if u remember oro summon three boxes but suddenly third hokage realise what jutsu it is and they stop third one and oro appritiate it and as we know when that boxes open 1st and 2nd hokage came out so may be oro summon 4 th hokage in third box ....
and i completely agree ur kushina part

good thread...i think it was just a failed attempt of oro to summon the 4th, and if say he tried to summon all 4 hokage then it would be 4 coffin coming up like that....but why we havent seen a revived kushina is a mystery....she certainly should be able to be revived....also it seems soon minato may be able to be summoned as well....because oro seems to know a way to undo rds...because he still wants sasuke and is helping him(aka being nice which is something unusual unless it has a benefit for him)(like he trained sasuke so he could have his body...)

so basically i think oro figured out how to release the rds so he can get his arms back....and take over sasuke.......which would mean that he could also release all the kage again....

but other than that difference of opinion i agree and think its nice thread + rep :D

Kushina can be revived of course, but no one wants to do that. Minato can also be revived if my theory is correct -> Orochimaru knows a way to release the souls from Death Reaper Seal. After all their souls are just trapped, not gone.

The reason Orochimaru's thrid summon failed was for that exact reason - Yondaime's soul was trapped inside the belly of the Death God, and Orochimaru was not aware that this was the case. The Kuchiyose was always bound to fail.

The weird part is that Orochimaru must have done the ritual before using the Hokages, meaning that he sacrficed living humans to revive them. But if he couldn't revive Minato then, why would he try it again against Hiruzen?

I doubt Orochimaru attempted to summon them before, since he even took the time during the battle to place the seals inside of Shodai and Nidaime's heads in order to suppress their personalities, something which could've been done prior to the duel. And as you say, it wouldn't make sense because he himself was surprised that the 3rd summon was stopped. To be honest, I just think this comes down to Kishimoto's lack of consistency regarding the mechanics of Edo Tensei - I think it was slightly altered in Shippuden to account for what happened in part 1. Perhaps Orochimaru was able to complete the sacrificial ritual beforehand and then summon the Hokages for the first time against Hiruzen.

Maybe Kushina can be revived, but not Minato. Sad truth...

oh man I thought you really had a proof, the answer to your empty box is that maybe the box could only had someone's body and not minato's soul in that body.
