Who is worth more to you in a sense of military strength. I was arguing with a friend about this and I think with enough nuance thought my side could have some credence.

Who's worth more.

Child Obito as the Uchiha's solve survivor without Sharingan or MS, but you know he's an Uchiha by blood.

Naruto, Nine-Tails Jinchuriki.

I argued that Obito is worth more. Naruto is half Uzumaki, and his kid's will more than likely be unable to house the Nine-Tails and considering the fact that Uzumaki Clan members are in hiding, you're shit out of luck if Naruto dies. Obito on the other hand has more future worth, although he may not have the Sharingan or MS, his descendants if kept close with proper breeding can rebirth a clan of Doujutsu users that can control tailed beasts.

I figured that even though over a short period of time Naruto would be useful, but in the long run I felt like Obito with no foreseeable potential is still worth more.

That depends on if whoever is making the decision knows that he is minatos son, if not obito takes the cake but if that is known naruto easily becomes more valuable.

One uchiha isn't even guaranteed he will unlock the sharingan or even get MS, On top of that his children will not be guaranteed sharingans.

Bijuu carrier by far has more worth than an lone uchiha with no guarantee of a sharigan let alone MS, Also naruto's kids have just as much chance of being born able to carry kurama as obito's is at unlocking the sharigan and even if they did unlock it, there is zero guarantee of them being able to control kurama.

That's really stupid and a silly comparison, that would mean Minato inherited 1/2 the genes of somebody and was elite so therefore his father would be uber elite. We know nothing of this so called elite father or any fame he would've possessed. Also that's not how inheritance(talent) works in the NV.

If we're talking about Konoha, they have Sasuke for the Uchiha already, it makes more sense to pick Naruto as his clan has no other representants that might repopulate the Uzumaki in the village. Nah you misunderstand, i was merely saying due to minatos prowess his son should also have some of his skill, he is also the son of an uzumaki (that took down kurama) so youre saying that your parents dont influence any portion of your potential and skill level kek.

Apart from gentic abilities that are inherited the answer is no. You dont inherit their skill(prowess) that's on an individual's own abilities. Otherwise the point goes back to what I said about Minato.

Jeez your'e dense, what your'e saying is that being hagoromos son has no effect on your potential and skill which is retarded, the individuals abilities are influenced by their parents genetics, its literally the same thing with the uchiha.
