Personality: Mikiya is naturally curious, but at the same time, he’s an easy-going type and generally carefree. While his clan is typically a quiet group, he is very outgoing and energetic. Because of his work with his bugs, he tends to be a gentle person both to bugs and to people. However, he can also be harsh and a bit unkind at times. He doesn’t concern himself with others’ opinions of him and speaks at his own liberty, and has confidence in his own abilities.

Background Information
History: Mikiya Aburame was born in Konohagakure, and raised as one of the young talents of the Aburame clan since his birth. His parents were both considered as experts in espionage, inspiring Mikiya to become a master in espionage as well.
At the age of 10, Mikiya injured himself while sparring, suffering major injuries to his internal organs. Three intestinal surgeries were required, and Mikiya’s future as a ninja was left in doubt. Doctors recommended for him to quit and chase another career path, saying that his organs were too frail after the repeated surgeries to hold up for day-to-day ninja duties. Mikiya was shaken by this, and came close to quitting. It took weeks of depressing rehab, but ultimately, it was the story of Rock Lee, who had suffered career-threatening injuries on a much more devastating scale at the hand of Gaara during the Chuunin Exam, that inspired Mikiya. Motivated by Rock Lee’s determination after his own surgery, Mikiya pushed himself as well.
Since then, Mikiya has been an upbeat individual, although still not completely able to put the almost habitual condescending tone the Aburame clan was infamous for. He still chases after his parents, particularly in the field of espionage, but he has found new idols to pursue as well, namely in Rock Lee.
