Hinata is actually a better female character than Mikasa and I don't even like Hinata.
At least Hinatatatatatata has had some dialogue that didn't involve being entirely dependant on a man. She still is, but at least she's had lines which weren't even about Naruto which is something I can't say for Mikasa and Eren.
