while i agree with you that mihawk would most likely win this fight high diff seeing as he's on par with 2 handed shanks (and i don't care what ppl say about him still being just as strong, that simply doesn't make any logical sense. he lost a limb therefore he lost some maneuverability with his swords its just common sense. were we to lose an arm we wouldn't be useless but admittedly slightly weaker/less useful)

i would like to see a scan of big mom admitting that just for my own peace of mind
It's actually plausible that Shanks is just as effective with his one arm. A sabre is a one-handed sword, so he'd only be used one arm for it anyways. With practice, he can just be just as good as his dominant hand with his other hand.

Is there a Yonkou you guys think Mihawk can't beat? I've seen people say they think Mihawk would beat Shanks because of his title, that he'd have beaten WB at MF and now BM. The only one left is Kaidou and I wouldn't be surprised to hear people say Mihawk'd beat him too, especially if it ends up his connection to Wano influences his weaponry.

yeah but my argument is that he cant use feints and switch hands. he cant catch himself while falling and defending with his other hand. it would mean that while mihawk is swinging down at full 100% power that we're supposed to believe shanks can block that with one hand and a smaller weaker sword? like his clash with whitebeard on the moby felt so forced because here we have the worlds strongest man taking a legit shot at you and somehow shanks blocks it with one hand and no effort? so i guess shanks was the strongest not whitebeard by that portrayal.

its a shounen so i understand i have to swallow all my rationality and just watch friendship and love power boosts during a fight but i think was ridiculous to try and portray a swordsman who's just lost his dominant hand as equally as powerful as he was with 2 hands AND if they attempt to at all be realistic shanks should feel a phantom pain where his missing arm would be every once in a while

he cant use feints and switch hands.
How many swordsman even switch hands mid combat? This is a non issue.

he cant catch himself while falling and defending with his other hand.
All it means is double the focus goes into the one hand and he increases his leg strength to kick back up.

It's like blind people, their hearing and other senses are amplified due to losing one of their senses. Shanks being a top tier means he made up for his deficiency through focusing on what he does have and making that stronger than it normally would have been.

It's quite simple.

it would mean that while mihawk is swinging down at full 100% power that we're supposed to believe shanks can block that with one hand and a smaller weaker sword?
Except it already happened with WB, this is more of a complaint in your head than an issue in this manga since you know this already happened and Shanks clashed equally. I already explained why it makes sense.

It's pretty simple as far as i'm concerned. The only characters that beats Mihawk for sure are Whitebeard, Roger and Kaido because they are the only characters who have been given more story hype and standing than Mihawk(though i believe Blackbeard may be a strong contender as well, but there is no proof of this yet either), as the strongest in their respective story line(yes as straight forward as that). Against everyone else, either he beats them due to superior hype or it becomes debatable and the thing i like about it is that you've absolute nothing to prove otherwise

Mihawk wins. Big Mom's hype isn't that great despite us being in her arc when Mihawk is a more important character
Aside from being zoro's mentor what exactly makes mihawk so important in your eyes I thought he is just that. As Ass char that we won't ever really see except for prob one fight etc

If being a mentor makes you important then a yonko does that mean invankov and reighlee are as well?

Also bro I feel mihawk will die before zoro gets to fight him what do you think oda will do with mihawk ?

For some reason I used to think the same that Mihawk will most probably die before he faces Zoro because Student killing/beating his master won't look nice.
But I think their fight could be one of the best fight scenes in Op. Zoro can also achieve his dream by beating the best and claim the title of "Greatest Swordsman in the world".

Honestly I feel someone is gonna off mihawk whether alone or with someone does not really matters but they wil claim they defeated him alone

Then zoro will avenge his master

It's funny, I was just thinking about this in another thread..

Imagine if Shiliew ended up getting the Diamond DF (due to BB and co. defeating Jozu and taking his DF).. then when BB and Shanks end up fighting, Mihawk is there to help Shanks and the Red Hair pirates.. then Shiliew kills Mihawk..

Later the SH's go up against the Blackbeard pirates and Zoro vs Shiliew happens. (Zoro wins, cutting diamond and killing the man who just recently defeated Mihawk, thus Zoro becoming the World's Greatest Swordsman without technically having to fight his former Sensei Dracule Mihawk.)
