I'm sure Shanks has been an Emperor for some years and that he must have atleast fought the other Emperors. So why would Mihawk suddenly be by Shanks' side when the latter is fighting Blackbeard?
The Shanks one makes sense because Oda has already hinted at it. The Mihawk one makes zero sense. Mihawk is far away from NW, has no devil fruit ability that we're aware of, is not trying to become PK and nothing implies he'll fight Shilliew. Mihawk vs Zoro has been hyped the same year the series started but while it's predictable, the same applies with Luffy vs Blackbeard etc. Now would you say Law will be the one to fight Blackbeard?
Mihawk fighting Shiliew makes sense since when the time comes I think Shanks is going to fight Blackbeard in order to stop him from going to Raftel as remember Shanks himself knows where Raftel is. Once Blackbeard does I can see Shanks asking Mihawk for help.
Zoro and Mihawk maybe hyped but the fact is the way Oda has set it up with the time skip we don't know exactly what type of relationship the two have now, for all we know they might actually be on friendly terms now and if that's the case I don't see how they could have a fight where they would be forced to go all out.
Also the fight between Zoro and someone with a diamond devil fruit has also been hyped as well and with Mihawks slash not being able to damage Jozu at the time had the Diamond fruit it leads me to believe the person who requires that fruit will fight Mihawk and Zoro.
Also the Zoro and Mihawk fight is about as hyped as Luffy vs Shanks since both Luffy and Zoro want to beat their respective challenge but the only reason Zoro wants to fight Mihawk is because he is currently the best swordsman in the world however if he were to be surpassed by someone other than Zoro...then wouldn't Zoro also change his target?
