Hello to all reading, thanks for all the feedback so far. Sorry for any errors, if any, in this chapter. I am trying to get better at proof-reading and locating those errors, I think I've found and fixed them all but I always second guess myself so if you find any I'd appreciate you all putting them in the comments below, thanks :ilu:

Chapter Three: The Migranes

"Yeah," Vivian said while walking over to Janet. "Please, Janet... Sit down."

Janet felt she needed an explanation, so she sat next to Nicole since she was more familiar with her.

"First," Vivian sighed like an old man as she sat back down in front of Jet, "Let me ask you this: have you have experienced anything weird when you were younger?"

Janet shook her head in confusion.

"N—no, None that I remember." Janet said. Her voice sounded young and scared because deep down inside she knew what Vivian was referring to.

"You're lying." Nicole said. Janet was surprised to hear her speak as much as she was to hear her make such an accusation.

"W—what?"

"You..." Nicole paused while giving Janet a sassy look, "Are lying. You know what we are talking about, Janet, just spit it out. We don't judge" Janet looked around at the others and sighed.

"Fine," Janet finally said. She looked down at the table, "Last year, towards Christmas break I had a weird experience... It was like this... This massive headache, nothing serious. And, to make any more weird than it already is, I tried making it go away and suddenly my whole class got the same headache, from what I saw."

The girls were looking at her in awe. Nicole screamed a high pitched scream of excitement as if she were a little girl.

"I always knew you were one of us, girl!" she said.

"What's so great about a headache?" Janet said, "And what do you mean by 'one of us'?" Vivian was smiling as if she had just saw her child after twenty years.

"We are Migranes." Vivian said.

"Migranes? Don't you mean Migraine, or something?" Janet responded.

"No, Migranes" Jill said, "Vivian isn't good with names, so we are 'Migranes'... Don't ask. Just take it as meaning we're too special for the 'i' in migraine."

"Okay... what makes you all special?"

"We're special because we each have powers that match our personalities." Vivian said. She turned and pointed to each of the girls one by one, "Violet has the power to become any animal, or just manipulate their abilities. Jill's our nurse, she has the power to heal any injury, except those caused by Jet. Norma has the power to merge herself into anyone or anything. Nicole has mental powers, which explains how she knew you were lying." Janet began to blush out of embarrassment.

"What about you and Jet?" Janet asked.

"I have Superhuman agility" Vivian responded. Janet thought back to how quickly Vivian helped clean her pants up at the bus stop.

"So, like, super-speed, super-strength... Shit like that?"

"Yeah, basically. Jet has the power of biological manipulation."

"What?"

"Basically, he can create any disease, cure, and disrupt anythings cells. You've taken biology, right?"

"Yeah."

"Okay, he basically can make cells go through apoptosis, cell suicide, by a few touches in the right places with the right pressure, but he can also regenerate other cells. He's like... I don't even know how to explain it, dude," Vivian explained while slighting laughing out of amazement, "Him and Jill work together in our lab, you'll see it for yourself."

Janet was somewhat convinced that these people were insane, but at the same time she believed everything they were saying.

"So what does this have to do with me? How am I one of you?" Janet asked.

Vivian grabbed her own chin and began stroking as if she had a beard, "Well... You seem like you're new to the whole thing. You haven't even harnessed your powers... Maybe a month at the summer facility will help you with that?"

The other girls nodded, Jet was smoking a cigarette at the end of the table.

"What makes you think that I'll go to your summer facility?" Janet said.

"Trust me," Norma said.

"You will." Violet finished Norma's sentence. Jet seemed uninterested as he crushed his cigarette on the top of the table and glared at the crowd of girls gawking at Janet.

Hmmm, more answers this time. Now the only question is where's it go from here? lol He hasn't even said anything yet, but Jet's already more interesting than any of these other characters so far:)

I see one use of "expect" that was probably meant to be "except", then a few unnecessary capitalizations, but nice writing overall. You are definitely learning and picking things up;)

Good read. I must point out that I'm no fan of the "short writing, tons of threads" concept, but I understand that it's your style. I saw an incorrect use of just that, "saw," which should have been seen. The sentence where Janet states that it was like Vivian hadn't saw[seen] her child in 20 years.

Other than that it was good. I also realized that this story must be taking place in the 80s or something. Why? Because Jef was smoking inside the school. Unless the laws of smoking in public are completely screwed up in this story or that they are in the Untied States still that is xD Here, you're almost not allowed to smoke anywhere really without getting a fine. Soon it's forbidden to smoke in your own car if you have children under 18 riding with you for instance, even in your own house...

Another thing, I just realized you're not a female :lmao: I was certain you were for some reason, lmao.
