Guy has considered Kakashi his rival for his entire life.But are they really?

Might Guy is one of Konoha's most powerful ninja, and a taijutsu specialist. Despite considering himself a loser as a child, Guy is a very talented ninja, graduating from the Academy at age 7 and becoming a chūnin at age 11.


Kakashi Hatake is a natural genius, evidenced by the speed he rose through the ninja ranks; he graduated from the Academy at age 5, becoming a chūnin at age 6, a jōnin at 13, and had a long tenure as an ANBU. During his career he has amassed a technique arsenal of over a thousand different techniques, making him Konoha's expert in the field.

I think kakashi.
you say without knowledge but kakashi knows about gates (not because guy's using it. kakashi can open the first gate as well.) so he'll recognize what guy is doing. and sharingan is pretty famous guy will figure that as well (aside from MS.)

so when guy opens the gates kakashi can use a clone (that's what he always does. he even deluded half of akatsuki with that deluding guy should be no problem.) and waits until guy gets exhausted. it'll be too late for guy to realize he used his technique on a clone

#1 Kakashi is a genius! and wont just let Guy get to the higher gates
#2 Kakashi has a sharingan
#3 kakashi knows over 1000 jutsu's he can counter Strict taijustu

Kakshi's clones wouldnt be able to take more than 1 hit from guy.

Why will it be too late. Its not like when guy goes into gate mode that hes just an unthinking, randomly attacking beast. He can see and control himself.

yes he can think but after starting the morning peacock do you think he can take a break? and he's not an unthinking beast but for someone who deluded half of akatsuki members, do you think deluding guy would really be a problem?
once guy starts using his morning peacock he'll be wasting it on a clone. and he'll overthink about using afternoon tiger, since he may meet the same trick. that's a huge factor

Guy has shown to be capable of being as serious, ruthless and decisive as a mission's success demands if needed, as seen during the Invasion of Konoha and his battles with Kisame Hoshigaki. Guy doesn't seem smart but he is..He"ll probably figure it out...imo

I personally believe that Kakashi > Gai, due to his versatility and intelligence, but to say that Gai is no where near Kakashi's 'level' is ridiculous.​

not to be a jerk but Kakshi had MS by the Pain arc and for the purposes of this thread he doesnt have MS per the OP >.< . Kakashi is smarter but Guy is no dunce and he'll outlast Kakashi everytime. They have the opposite things working for them but overall I think guy would take it in these circumstances.
