It pretty much depends on how much damage AT will do to something as durable as KN6.

Gai is going to be landing much more hits on KN6 than it is on Gai, and we've seen how quickly he can fire off AT. After he hits it a couple of times and sees his attacks aren't doing any real damage, he'll blast it with hirudorah.
