Personally people underrate this guy. Now most people expect feats from characters. They can not live with characters who have hype, because then they can justify how they win in a VS thread.

However, against Hanzo.. Mifune literally made him useless. Now Hanzo is easily a Sanin or so level ninja.. but was made useless by Mifune (an old Mifune)...

Uh, it's not that people can't live with hype. It's because hype can't be used in a versus threads. There has to be feats to justify how they win.

Hanzo was not in prime condition when he died so Mifune had a easier time. But yes for a non ninja Mifune is easily in the 30 or top 25.

Hanzo was younger than Mifune, Hanzo was also an Edo...

Hence why there are specific characters that shouldn't be used.

Does'nt matter,Hanzo had slacked off during his late years and would not be in top fighting form when he was brought back as a Edo.Mifune even said Hanzo was weaker than the last time they fought.

He, Mifune, was old, past his prime.
Hanzo was edo, thus virtually "immortal'.
Mifune by a + b = c logic is probably as strong as all three in his prime.
Samurai ftw

And Mifune had lost to Hanzo who had let the three Sannin live so that's not completely accurate.

Doesn't matter, according to Hanzo he did not slack off. =]. And that is Mifune's opinion.. But Hanzo himself doesn't believe so.

Hanzo also believed nobody could kill him yet Nagato proved that wrong. That was why he did'nt stay in shape in the first place because Hanzo was arrogant enough to think his enemies could'nt get to him.

I could see it. Though to note, when both were closer to their youthful prime, Hanzo beat Mifune at his own game (blade play).

Regardless managing to fight on par with someone of Hanzo's Rusted Caliber is an obvious feat of merit.

Sadly the less panel sides will never be recognized. Just look at Hiashi Hyuga.

I like Mifune. But here's the truth:

1. Mifune has years to train.
2. Mifune had knowledge of Hanzo he could actually use.
3. He was immune to Hanzo's poison due to the antidote.
4. Hanzo slacked off and was past his prime.
5. Kabuto was controlling Hanzo, thus all the knowledge he had of Mifune, isn't as useful.

Mifune is in my top 35 though.

Mifune is a powerful guy.

Clearly a sword master, and perfected iado to use basically Body Flicker+Sword Slash attacks.

Can interrupt handseals, thus nullifying ninjutsu.

Can coat his sword in chakra flow to increase it's cutting ability and range, also able to shape the chakra however he needs.

Can also throw his chakra flow as flying slashes of energy.

Doesn't matter, according to Hanzo he did not slack off. =]. And that is Mifune's opinion.. But Hanzo himself doesn't believe so.

Mifune said Hanzo got weaker, called him a "dulled sword."

Hanzo remembered Pein saying something similar, saying how Hanzo lost his conviction and that's why he couldn't beat Pein. Which implied that Hanzo previously had the power to beat Pein.

Mifune is portrayed younger at that time. o-o. On top of that the reason of why he lost and etc is already stated by Mifune himself.

Yes it was referred to, how this time Mifune had a strong belief in the fight , unlike the last time where Mifune was doubting himself. Apparently the will of a person in Naruto has a strong connection with the sword.

And yes i also believe it is implied he could beat pain.

1. Mifune was old....

2. Hanzo had knowledge on Mifune also..

3. Poison is a "cheap shot" in Naruto actually.. Someone like Sakura can solo Naruto if she just poisoned him.

4. He lost conviction in what he believed. But the slacking of was referred to his real life form.

5. Hanzo had free will

This isn't a Hanzo vs Mifune tho lol.

There is no such a thing as Sannin rank to determine thire strength ....

All Sannin are > 90% Kages means that Sannin = Kage level interms of strength....

Only people that are beyond Kage level are Top 10 Shinobi that's it ..
Hanzo is mid Kage level at best any of current Sannin can beat him Mid dif

OT :Mifune is low - Mid kage level Shiinobi....

Top 20 or 30 is overdoing it, but i'd definetly say that some people underestimate Mifune.

Don't forget that this was not Prime Hanzo and thus he wasn't on the same level as when he fought the Sannin.
But ofc it's still quite a feat that he took him down.

And with his incredibly speed and kenjutsu mastery i'd say he's definetly not a weak opponent.

I'd say he's probably low kage level.
