Before you read this remember that preference is subjective, nothing I say is set in stone feel free to disagree but not to flame.
Now, my point is a very simple one, that MGMT is similar to the Beatles and I think the two are equals in lyrical depth. I am not saying that MGMT is greater that the beatles.
What they have in common
Now, my point is a very simple one, that MGMT is similar to the Beatles and I think the two are equals in lyrical depth. I am not saying that MGMT is greater that the beatles.
What they have in common
- Psycadelic sound, deep lyrics, drugger vibe, hippy-esque sound, Experimented with music
- MGMT uses synth, Beatles enjoyed more mainstream success, Beatles have (a ton) more fans, MGMT focuses on social interaction whereas the Beatles focus on Peace and love.
So what I am saying is that MGMT< The Beatles but the two can be mentioned in the same conversation without your ears beginning to bleed in rage and disbelief. With time and development I would like to see MGMT improve and possibly be held as one of the greats in our generations music.
