Element Explanation

Wind Release is the element that allows one to control and manipulate wind and currents. It is an exceptionally fast style, typically comparable to lightning release and sound. The properties of wind release techniques vary from creating powerful gusts, cyclones, tornadoes, and vacuums to compressed, blunt force pressures that act similar to solid objects. However, the most notable property of wind release is its sharp, blade-like qualities. Thinning the air currents around already sharp objects or simply creating sharp air currents from nothing is a common ability used in wind release. It contrasts lightning releases augmentation which utilizes increased vibrations in order to make blades sharper. Wind is free and typically wider in its range of effectiveness with the exception of some bladed applications. It is weak to fire due to the oxygen within the air. This provides augmentation to fire when used in conjunction with with the latter, however, in opposition, the force of wind gusts don't provide suitable defense against fire as the fire will be able to sustain itself with the wind (but does not augment the power of an opposing fire technique). Wind acts as an insulator, preventing lightning from sustaining itself, which is the primary purpose that it is strong to the nature. Wind is a very good compliment to water as well, both entities are cool in nature which allows for freezing temperature techniques. Wind can augment the speed and range of large water techniques as well. Combined, the two natures create the Ice Release kekkei genkai.

There are four methods in basic Wind Release and they are as follows: Tangible Blasts, Slicing Gutsts, Vortexes, and Specific.

Method 1: Tangible Blasts

For the most part, the techniques within this method consist of large and powerful gusts that are exhaled from the mouth. These wind techniques can be long lasting, forceful gusts that have the ability to blow back various items, people, or animals of various sizes. These powerful gusts apply a strong pressure in whatever direction they are released and therefore, any object that comes into contact will be forced away. The second quality these techniques may possess are blunt force. Wind that is so compressed and refined that once it makes impact with the target it creates a blunt force compatible to being hit with a solid object. Users can make compact spheres or other shapes that impact like a bolder or spread out like a wall to make an opponent feel as though they just ran into a pile of bricks.

When constructing one of these techniques, the user will follow one of two processes generally. The first process, for powerful gusts, is as simple as inhaling and storing a large amount of air in the lungs and forcing it out with one's wind chakra from the point of release to generate a tremendous pressure. Depending on the technique, the user may need to stream their chakra. The second process, for blunt force techniques, the user can compresses the air into a finite area with shape manipulation in order to make the technique tight and quasi-solid in nature.

Advantages of Method

Gusts are very powerful, good for driving opponents back and/or keeping them at bay. Most are a wide scale and possess a decent range and thus it's difficult to circumvent around them. Some of these techniques are dynamic in movement, meaning the initial direction of the technique can change. This is usually the result of a stream like technique being used.

Blunt force winds give a quasi-solid effect thus, allowing the user to deal much more devastating damage without using earth or other solid techniques. They can equally match solid techniques and even push through non-solid objects like water and some other gaseous elements.

Disadvantages of Method

Wind is a very yielding element, in the case of most gusts, they don't possess an incredible amount of power to force through rooted entities. Of course, there are exceptions, however, most gusts are easily blocked by solid entities that are rooted such as walls or barriers. The pressure of the wind may cause some walls to fall but generally these techniques don't fair well against such entities. Secondly, some of these technique possess streaming properties meaning that the techniques lifespan is the duration of time the user fuels it. Without the fuel, the user cannot sustain the technique and while fueling the user cannot use another technique.

Blunt force techniques consist of wind that is tightly compressed, opposite of powerful gusts. For this reason, these techniques possess a lack of width that most gusts possess. These techniques are usually projectile in nature, thus making their area of effect significantly smaller than their counter parts in this style. Thus, in the same vein as projectiles, these technique are more susceptible to being avoided easily.

Description: The user will release basic simple blasts or streams of wind from his limbs or mouth to defend or attack an enemy.

The user will start off by manipulating their Wind chakra in order to release simple blasts and streams of wind, from their limbs. The blasts are released from the users' mouth, and the streams from both their mouth, and limbs, through movement in close combat, or even ranged. A very basic technique, in both its usage and rank. Easily used in close range for a quick attack, or defense.

Description: The user creates a huge stream of wind that carries rocks and lifts the opponent into the air where the rocks hit them.

The user will manipulate their Wind chakra and through manipulation, release a huge stream of Wind from their mouth. This allows them to lift rocks, and the opponent into the air. Here, the opponent is bombarded by the rocks. A small note, is that this is preferably used in a terrain where rocks are presents, and in close range of the user when initiated.

Description: A simple technique that when the users hands are clapped together, wind is compressed and transformed into a powerful gale. This technique, when used as an isolated attack has the power to easily knock over a human. Though the true value comes from using it together with projectile weapons like shuriken or kunai. Their speed, power, and ability to wound or even kill are all increased several times.

Through clapping hands together, the user is able to manipulate their Wind chakra, compress it and transform it into a gale. This can be used knock over opponents, and also, effectively speed up projectile weapons after their have been thrown. The gale would act as a boost of sorts, propelling the weapon forward faster, increased its speed and power.

Description: This is a relatively simple technique that when the user performs the following hand seals Tiger → Ox → Dog → Rabbit → Snake they create a sudden gust of wind, but its scale varies greatly depending on the user. If used by a superior shinobi, it has enough destructive power to knock down a large tree. The wind from the squall can blow away all things in the user's line of sight. A variation of the technique involves a smaller blast of wind which gets ignited with flame.

After the formation of the needed hand seals, the user will release a sudden gust of Wind. This gust may vary, from being able to knock down large trees, to blowing away things in line of sight of the user, or simply a small blast of Wind. The variations may be used as such, depending on the situation at hand.

Description: The users gathers his Fuuton chakra into the lungs to blow out a sphere of air at his target that can blow backwards the opponent and small objects around him.

The user will manipulate their Wind chakra into their lungs, and unleash a sphere of Wind. This is aimed at the opponent, and is able to blow him back, and also take with small objects in the surrounding of said foe. Simple straightforward blast technique.

Description: The user will first strike their target into the air with their Giant folding fan or Giant War fan and then follow up with releasing a blast of wind pushing the target back.
Note: Requires the user to be wielding a Giant Folding Fan or a Giant Fan or a Fan Weapon of some sort.

Through the use of a Fan, the user will deliver a blow to the opponent using it. This sends the opponent airborne, and allows the user ample time to unleash a blast of Wind through the Fan (a similar trend follows for many Wind techniques, where the Fan is used as a conduit for the Wind), blasting the opponent back with great force.

Description: The user will swing their giant folding fan or giant war fan at their target to create a blast of wind sending the target flying.
Note: Requires the user to be wielding a Giant Folding Fan or a Giant Fan or a Fan Weapon of some sort.

Using a Fan as a medium, the user will channel their Wind chakra and swing their fan. This unleashes a blast of Wind, that sends the opponent flying backward. Another straightforward approach, blast of Wind, through the use of a fan.

Description: The user gushes a powerful stream of wind from their mouth towards their enemy.

The user will manipulate their Wind based chakra, and unleash from their mouth a powerful stream of Wind. This is aimed at impacting the opponent, causing several forms of blunt damage, and also pushing the opponent back greatly. Due to its simple nature, it is a technique easily combined with others to increase its effectiveness.

Description: The user swings their blade and a gust of wind is released in the arc that it was swung in. The technique is strong enough to stop projectiles that are thrown at the user.

Now averting from using a fan, the user will swing a blade in the direction of the opponent whilst kneading their Wind chakra. This allows them to unleash a gust of Wind, that follows the path the blade was swung in. This is able to both impact the opponent with blunt damage, or stop oncoming projectiles like kunai or shuriken from the opponent.

Description: The user concentrates wind chakra into their sword/s and releases the chakra by slashing down infront of them to create a large gust of wind.

The user will focus their Wind chakra into their sword, or swords. And by slashing down in front of them, unleash that Wind chakra in the form of a gust of Wind. This blasts forward, aiming to hit the opponent, and blow them back.

Description: Originally Gaara's technique, for other characters the user will have to gather the dust or sand of the environment around him and then combine it with his elemental wind affinity. A large wind gust with dust or sand will get created capable to push away the opponent or medium sized objects.

Aimed at being used in a sandy/dusty terrain, the user will gather said dust or sand, and combine it with their attack. The user will manipulate their Wind chakra to unleash a large Wind gust with the gathered dust and sand, pushing the opponent back and also creating a cover of sorts with the sand and dust, or even a simple distraction based element to the technique (by launching the sand into the opponent's eyes).

Description: The user will create a large surge of wind that is capable of pushing a target back and dealing some small cuts to them. The wind technique is also strong enough to push back a large summoning creature.

The user will manipulate their Wind chakra, and unleash from their mouth a powerful surge of Wind, that both pushes the opponent, and large summoning creatures, back and also deals slicing damage in the form of small cuts on the opponents' or summons' body.

ISSSSA KAKUZU TECH. A powerful Wind technique, originally used by one of Kakuzu's masks, the mask unleashes a powerful Wind bullet that repels what it hits, blasting the opponent back and traveling quite some distance.

Description: Kakuzu, with his masks released from his body, releases a pressurised wind bullet towards the centre of the battlefield that creates a whirlwind which draws his opponent towards it.

Another Kakuzu based technique, where his Wind mask when released, will release a powerful bullet of Wind. This is blasted towards the center of the field, where a whirlwind is created, drawing the opponent towards it. However, it causes no damage but allows for creating a perfect opportunity to combine it with other techniques.

Description: The user does the Ram handseal and inhales, kneading his chakra into his lungs, exhaling a huge blast of wind that levels anything in its path. Can cause major damage and requires a sufficient chakra level to perform. This large wind blast moves in tremendous speed and cannot be controlled. If the user gets caught in it, it will harm him also.

The user will form a single hand seal, and inhale as they mold their Wind chakra in their lungs. Through exhaling, the user will unleash a large blast of Wind, which causes a large amount of damage and destruction in its wake due to its size and speed, however, makes it dangerous to perform in smaller confined areas as the user will also be harmed if they are somehow subjected to its destructive power.

(Fūton: Shinkūgyoku) – Wind Release: Vacuum Sphere

Description: After performing the necessary hand seals Rat → Rabbit → Dog, the user takes a deep breath and exhales several small blasts of wind chakra.in such a manner that they are dispersed over an expansive range, enough to make it difficult to avoid them entirely without taking any damage. Due to the properties of this technique, the expelled blasts are capable of piercing into and potentially through an opponent's flesh when they collide, in a similar manner to how bullets function.

After a short string of hand seals, the user will inhale whilst molding their Wind chakra. They will then exhale in small bursts, releasing blasts of Wind chakra in said bursts. These wind bullets are compressed, capable of piercing flesh like real bullets do and are unleashed over an expansive range, causing the technique to not only be dangerous but also widely ranged. The large amount of bullets fired however, weakens the techniques' effectiveness overall.

(Fūton: Fūjin no Jutsu) - Wind Release Dust Cloud Technique

Description: After performing the Bird hand seal the user creates a stream of high velocity wind combined with scouring dust. The completed technique is directed through overlapping hands.

The user will form a single hand seal, and overlap their hands. Through doing so, the user will manipulate their Wind chakra to create a stream of high velocity Wind, which is combined with dust. Once more, terrain comes in play, and is useful in both delivering blunt damage whilst at the same time using the Wind to blow around dust and distract the opponent, or hide the user within it.

Description: Originally Gaara's technique, different characters will need to perform handseals in order to imbue the large amount of chakra needed into thier lungs. The user will then pound thier stomach to increase the pressure as they release a huge spiraling sphere of wind, which is strong enough to do major damage to even a Summoning like Gamabunta.

After the formation of hand seals, the user will focus a large amount of Wind chakra into their lungs. They will then pound it, and increase the pressure of the Wind that they then release, in the form of a huge spiraling sphere of Wind, which can cause a large amount of blunt damage and also travel quite some distance. It was able to damage Gamabunta, a large summoning.

Description:The user will begin sucking in wind which results in drawing in opponents towards them and by kneading with their chakra in their mouth the user then releases the wind chakra in the form of a powerful bullet that blasts the opponent away.

The user will first pull in Wind, which draws the opponent towards them, both acting as a distraction and a useful tool, but also an indication that something is coming. Wind chakra is kneaded, and unleashed from the users' mouth in the form of a powerful bullet of Wind, which blasts the opponent back with great force.

Description: After performing two hand seals Tiger → Dog the user launches a stronger version of the Wind Release: Vacuum Sphere technique, where the user instead chooses to compress the entirety of the previously inhaled breath into a single large, crushing sphere of wind chakra that they then proceed to expel from their mouth.

After the formation of two hand seals, the user will inhale as they mold their Wind chakra. Upon exhaling, the user will unleash a single compressed sphere of Wind, that is aimed at delivering a powerful hit to the opponent.

The impact of the technique causing a large powerful explosion of wind energy.
Note: Can only be used by Danzo biographies.

A Danzo exclusive. After having summoned the Mythical Baku, Danzo will will have it use Vacuum Breath, creating a vacuum which not only pulls the opponent toward it, but also allows Danzo to unleash Vacuum Sphere. This increases its power and range, causing it to cause a powerful Wind explosion upon impact.


Method 2: Slicing Gusts

This method involves utilizing powerful gusts of wind, similar in nature to techniques in the previous method. However, on top of the pressure power of those aforementioned techniques, these techniques also have the slicing, blade like properties that wind is famous for. Not all techniques are powerful, wide ranging gusts, however, some are isolated to smaller areas and possess a greater capability to cut rather than to force back. In order to generate the blade like qualities for these techniques, the user will rub their wind chakra against one another as if filing a blade. The result is a blade like wind of varying strength.

Advantages of Method

In a fair number of cases with techniques in this method, we tack on same advantages with the previous method (regarding gusts) with the bladed properties added in. The previous method worked primarily to distance opponents but the bladed qualities add an offensive edge to it. In regard to the more isolated techniques, while they may lack the distancing affect, the compensation is usually a more potent blade like quality to the technique.

Disadvantages of Method

The disadvantages are more or less the same for this method as with the first one. Wide ranged gusts are generally weak to more solid rooted elements and techniques. Of course everything is power/rank dependent, however, the wind from these techniques would still tend to yield. For the concentrated techniques with a diminished area, they have increased cutting potency but their range and are of affect is significantly less than their counter part's.

(Fūton: Kamaitachi no Jutsu) - Wind Release: Sickle Weasel Technique

Description: This bold move is Temari's speciality. She will swing her Giant Folding Fan and produce a large gale of wind. By freely manipulating the gale brought forth by her Giant Folding Fan, the many air currents collide and create vacuum pockets which she can manipulate to create sharp or blunt winds. The person enveloped by this gale is assaulted by countless invisible blades, carving up their body or pushed back with great strength. Also, the strong wind power will blow away all incoming projectile weapons and will even make the opponent unable to stay on their feet. Temari has also shown the ability to manipulate the form of the gale, creating a tornado to envelop and lift her opponent, while also cutting them several times. She even gains enough skill and control to slice through enemy clothes or armor while keeping him undamaged. The power is dependent on how much chakra she puts into the technique.

Through swinging her giant fan, Temari is able to mold and unleash Wind chakra in the form of a large gale, which she freely manipulates. She is able to create vacuum pockets, creating either sharp or blunt winds, causing cutting and of course, blunt damage.The angle of the tornado of Wind can be manipulated by her as well, allowing her to lift opponents, and even cut through their armor, using this technique.

(Fūton: Jūha Shō) - Wind Release: Beast Wave Strike

Description: A powerful technique of wind nature chakra that can cut and slash through any material. The user activates it by summoning chakra in his right hand, and then swipes a slicing chakra wave which appears to be controlled by the users will and thoughts. They are also able to use the technique in a rapid-fire, successive motion creating up to three cresent blades of wind.
Note: Can only be used by Sora Bios

A Sora exclusive. He will manipulate his Wind chakra, into his right hand and through a gesture, unleash a Wind crescent. This is able to cut through a large amount of materials, and of course, human flesh. Up to three consecutive shots can be done through said hand motions.

Description: This technique after performing the required hand seals Tiger → Hare → Dragon allows the user to produce a cyclone of sharp winds and petals to attack their opponent.

After the formation of the hand seals, the user is able to unleash a cyclone. This carries sharp Winds, and also petals, which aim to deliver slicing damage by cutting the opponents' skin, and generally acting as a great distraction based technique, due to the addition of the petals.

Description: The user unleashes a wave of wind that slashes at the opponent by swinging their hand or hands.

Through a gesture of their hand, or both hands, the user is able to unleash a wave of Wind. This is done by focusing their Wind chakra to the hand, or hands involved, and at the moment of swinging it, immediately releasing it. This allows the user to deliver precise cutting damage to the opponent, especially when in close range.

Description: This technique utilizes wind chakra into the users sword and then swings it to create a powerful whirlwind of sharp winds. The core skill behind the technique is the timing between channeling chakra into the sword and releasing it as the sword is swung.

The user will manipulate their Wind chakra, and focus it into their sword. In doing so, the user will now swing the sword as a release mechanism, unleashing a powerful whirlwind. Timing is taken into account here, in order to unleash the Wind at the apex of the swing of the sword, for maximum effectiveness.

(Fūton: Kaze Rasen Yaiba no justu) - Wind Release: Wind Spinning Blade Technique

Through the use of a fan, the user will manipulate their Wind chakra and focus it into the fan. The user will then swing the fan forward, unleash Wind in the form of a spinning disk, reminiscent of a Demon Wind Shuriken. This is launched towards the opponent, aiming to deliver slicing damage, and almost acting like a projectile.

(Fūton: Kaze Rasen Yaiba Rendan no justu) - Wind Release: Wind Spinning Blade Barrage Technique

Description: A more advanced version he user uses their Giant Folding fan or Giant Fan and swing it forwards at the target creating a single spinning disk of wind that ressembles a demon wind shuriken. A non wielder of the Giant Folding Fan or Giant Fan can perform this technique with use of four hand seals and releasing wind from their mouth and using shape manipulation to form the disk of wind.

A more advanced version of the previous technique. The user will focus their Wind chakra into their fan, and swing it forward. In doing so, they are able to create a spinning disk of Wind chakra, that looks like a Demon Wind Shuriken, however, those without a fan are now able to use it as well. Through the formation of four hand seals, the user will unleash Wind from their mouth and shape it into the same shape as the former does, and release it towards the opponent in the form of a spinning projectile.

(Fūton: Daikamaitachi no Jutsu) - Wind Style: Great Sickle Weasel Technique

A Termari based technique, however, strong. Due to more chakra input, Temari is able to now use her Sickle Weasel Technique, with more range and overall damage, however, the basic principles behind the technique, and its usage, remains the same.

Description: This technique is a pinpoint slashing strike, where the user emits chakra from their fingertips and materialises it into an near invisible weapon that assaults the enemy in a gust of wind. If the Sickle Weasel Technique can be regarded as a swarm of small wind kunai, then this technique is akin to a virtually unavoidable longsword which can leave the target's body mutilated. Just being in close proximity to the technique can cause minor cuts. The wind blades can be created and thrown, like projectiles, in rapid succession, although in this case, each one weaker than the single use application. The technique cannot be blocked by physical weapons and is insanely fast by not relying on the use of Hand seals but, because it still requires the user to perform hand gestures to use and is somewhat visible in the effect it produces, it can still be defended against by using appropriate evasion techniques or fast elemental ninjutsu.

A very powerful technique, where through the use of molding your Wind chakra, the user is able to manifest from their fingertips, a long blade of Wind chakra. Through a swing of the hand, the user is able to materialize a blade of Wind, which can be launched like a projectile towards the opponent, either using a single one for a precision slice and dice, or firing several, over an expansive range and sacrificing its overall power for effectiveness. Due to its speed, and not relying on the use of hand seals, this technique is the perfect tool for close combat, and for severing limbs and heads with ease.

After the formation of several hand seals, the user will inhale a large amount of Wind. The user will then expel that Wind as he spins, unleashing it in the form of a Wind blade, that covers a circular area around the opponent. This releases a sharpened Wind blast, aiming to slice through whatever is around the opponent, and acting as a great measure to discourage close range fighting, or simply slice through weapons fired from all directions, at the same time.

Using either a fan or the formation of five hand seals, the user will mold their chakra either into their mouth, or the fan. The user will then swing the fan, or unleash the Wind from their mouth, causing it to be released in the form of a guts of Wind. Shape manipulation is applied, forming it into a net of Wind, which is tangible. This net is capable of slicing through the opponent, being made of thin threads of Wind chakra.

Alternatively, if the user hasn't imbued their weapon with the requisite chakra prior to throwing it, they can make a single handseal to achieve a similar effect.

The user will focus their Wind chakra into a weapon, either a sword or a kunai which is then thrown into the ground, leaving its hilt pointing towards the opponent. Once positioned, the weapon will unleash a sharp twisting stream of Wind towards the opponent. This aims to strike them, and deliver cutting damage. Alternatively, if Wind chakra hasn't been imbued into the weapon, the user will form a single hand seal and release the Wind in a similar fashion.

The power of this technique can be dramatically enhanced when utilised in conjunction with the effects of extreme suction, such as that generated by the Baku, where the augmented attack proved effective enough to even slice through the defences of a complete Susanoo.

After the formation of several hand seals, the user will inhale and mold their Wind chakra. The user will then exhale, unleashing several blades of Wind at different angles, bu moving their head to change the trajectory of the blades, allowing the user to fire these blades over a wide area, and also cause powerful slicing damage.


Method 3: Vortexes

Tornadoes or cyclones. In this method the factors of rotation come into the mix. Techniques in this method focus on generating powerful gusts or entities of wind through rotation. The rotation adds a couple of useful qualities to the techniques such as their ability to pull objects or opponents with superior suction force, fine tuning sharpness by having techniques form at a central point almost like a drill, or just simply raw destructive power that can uproot and shred. Whatever type jutsu, the key to using these techniques are to focus on heavy rotation when molding one's chakra.

Advantages of Method

The rotation generated by these technique make them good for combinations with other elements. Even lightning which is naturally weak against wind can be combined well with cyclones of heavy rotation. A fair amount of these techniques possess a great suction power that can pull opponents into the vortex and shred entities apart. This method encompasses qualities of the previous two methods in regard to pressure and bladed capabilities. These are perhaps the most versatile techniques of the element.

Disadvantages of Method

Very simple, remove the rotation of the jutsu and it falls apart. These techniques have the potential to be the strongest type of wind release techniques however, their biggest focus is on rotation. If you think about Naruto's Rasengan, the rotation and power of the technique is contained in a structure (sphere) if you some how manage to disturb that structure the energy explodes back. In the case of Fuuton vortexes, if you can disturb the structure that contains the rotation ideally you could force the technique to release all its energy and disperse.

The user will manipulate their Wind chakra, and manipulates it. This allows the user to create a spinning wind wall before them, that acts as a deterrent for smaller weapons and discouragement to close range combat, as the wind wall is able to push back the opponent, due to its spinning nature. However, an explosive tag or smoke bomb will be activated upon contacted with the spinning wall if Wind, making it a double edged sword, as this may damage the user of the technique, due to its range.

A counter technique, where the user will counter a Wind attack launched against them. This allows the user to take control of a whirling vortex thrown at the user, and redirect it. However, this is limited to up to B rank of Wind.

The technique can be massive in size, but is always incredibly fast.

Through flapping their wings, a flying summon with an affinity for Wind is able to do it, however, at normal S rank damage, instead of the boost gained by normal Wind specialists.

This layer of sand that accumulates on the trees during this technique makes it difficult for others to get a good footing. The initial gust can also temporarily blind opponents by lodging sand in their eyes.

The user will manipulate their Wind chakra, and is able to unleash from their mouth a gust of Wind. This gust act as a sandblaster, placing sand onto trees to make footing for the foe difficult, as well as act as a way to blast sand into the opponents' eyes. This makes this technique particularly useful in a sandy, or dusty environment, and especially when trying to engage in close combat, and aiming to gain the upper hand.

A technique where the user will mold his Wind chakra in his tomach. When ready, the user will release a blast of Wind from their mouth, which allows their body to change direction in mid air. The user has to turn their head to the opposite side when releasing the blast, in order to travel in the other (turn their head to the right, release the blast, propelling themselves to the left). The same blast of Wind can also be used to to blow at the ground, and rise some dust, for concealing the user or to blast sand into the opponent's eyes as well. Of course, its more useful in sandy terrains.

Bios with Wind as their main specialty can defend from up to B-Rank techniques.

A technique which is extremely useful to divide and neutralize another Wind technique, launched against the user. Through Wind manipulation, the user is able to release a slicing Wind gust, aimed at dividing and neutralizing an oncoming Wind technique, leaving the user unscathed. If the user has Wind as their Main specialty, the user is able to defend up to B rank Wind, and if not, only up to C rank.

The user will manipulate their Wind chakra, and exhale it onto a weapon, like a kunai. This allows the user to increase the weapons' power and sharpness, allowing it to be used as a makeshift scimitar, and be more deadly than usual in close range. Allowing it to pierce deeper, and further.

Description: This technique is used to counter a Wind attack launched against the user. Originally used by Kujaku in conjunction with her sword, the user will need to perform a series of handseals to amplify chakra and then he will split the incoming Wind attack and take control of the whirling vortex thrown at him, in order to re direct it towards the opponent.
Note: It can block only up to B rank wind jutsu.

A counter technique, where the user will counter a Wind attack launched against them. After the formation of several hand seals, the user will manipulate their Wind chakra to split an incoming Wind technique, and take control of it. This allows the user to take control of a whirling vortex thrown at the user, and redirect it. However, this is limited to up to B rank of Wind.

Description: Wind Release: Toad Oil Bullet is a synchronized elemental combination technique with the user and Gamatatsu. It is a wind natured upgrade to Toad Oil Bullet technique. To set up for this technique the user must stand behind or atop Gamatatsu and focus their wind chakra whilst Gamatatsu focuses his chakra with oil in his mouth and then releases the oil combined with the user channeling the wind chakra through Gamatatsu, creating a powerful and fast stream of toad oil, which then spreads to cover a larger area but maintaining a powerful striking force due to the wind chakra.
Note: Can only be used with Gamatatsu and know toad-summoning contract.

A Toad Contract exclusive, where the user and one of the Toads, will combine their Wind and Oil. The user will enhance an Oil stream fired by the Toad, allowing it to reach over an expansive range, and spread over a large area. This also carries a powerful force.

Description: This technique is somewhat of an enhanced version of the Beast Tearing Palm. It used chakra to infused with and condense a mass amount of wind to form a massive demonic-like claw extending from the user's dominant hand to strike and grab a target, as well as deflect any weapon or attack. In addition to making it a deadly short to mid-range weapon, the extending claw also carries tremendous force that can devastate anything in its path without affecting the user, making it useful for dislodging solid and heavy objects.

The user will manipulate their Wind chakra, and condense it. This allows the user to form a claw like extension from their hand, made of Wind which is however, tangible. This allows the user to grab an opponent, strike due to its claws, and even use to dislodge heavy objects, acting as an extension of the users' own arm. This claw is extremely deadly in close range, as the user now has an extended reach, and is able to cause quite some damage with it.

Description: Temari will manipulate her wind chakra and create a armor of cutting wind to spin around her body. The armor itself has the capability to deflect incoming projectiles and weapons aswell as being capable of fending off taijutsu based attacks and causing damage to enemies who come into direct contact with the wind.
Note: Technique lasts for 3 turns

A Temari exclusive technique, where she will manipulate her Wind based chakra in order to create an armor, of cutting winds around her body. This armor is able to deflect projectiles, and weapons, and also fend off direct physical contact and discourage Taijutsu, due to its cutting abilities, easily recognizable as well.

Description: By Covering their hand with wind-natured chakra, The user attacks the enemy with it. The power of this attack is capable of causing the ground to split and buckle around them which could be used to throw the enemy off balance.

Another close range based technique, where the user will focus his Wind chakra and cover their hand with said chakra. This causes it to glow in a light yellow glow, and through this Wind covered hand, enhance the users' prowess in close combat and strength. The user is able to cause the ground to split and buckle around them by slamming into it, making the opponent lose balance. The user is also highly capable of delivering a powerful strike directly to the opponent.

This allows the user to increase the lethal potential of their leg in close combat, adding slicing damage as was shown that this technique was able to clise right through a mechanical puppet, making a person an easier target in comparison.

Description: This technique allows the user to breathe wind-infused chakra into the palm of their hand, shaping it into a small, whirlwind-like ball. Then the user will shoot it at their opponent. A technique, where the user will focus their Wind chakra and mold it in their stomach. The user will then breathe Wind chakra onto their palm, and use shape manipulation to form the Wind chakra into a small ball, which can be shot at the opponent. Several balls of Wind, can also be shot in succession, though the user would sacrifice power for varied range.

Description: Wind Release: Toad oil Flame Bullet is a three-way synchronized collaboration jutsu between the user, Gamatatsu and Gamakichi. It is an expansion of the Wind Release: Toad Oil Bullet technique. After the user enhances the Gamatatsu Toad oil bullet with their wind chakra, Gamakichi adds Fire Style: Flame Bullet technique to ignite the oil. The wind chakra not only increases the coverage and distance of the oil but also adds power to the flame and was strong enough to even push back the 3 tailed beast.
Note: Can only be used with Gamatatsu and Gamakichi and know toad-summoning contract.

A Toad Signer Exclusive, where the user and two other Toads, will combine their Oil, Fire and Wind respectively. The Oil is shot first, and the Wind is used to enhance the Oil's range. The Fire is added to create a blazing blast/stream, shot over an expanded area, and causes quite some damage.

Description: Wind Release: Toad Gun is a two-way collaboration jutsu with Gamatatsu. It is a wind upgrade version of water style: water gun technique. To set up this technique the user has to be standing on top or behind Gamatatsu molding their wind chakra and Gamatatsu concentrates his water chakra in his mouth and then by releasing both chakra at the same time by channeling the wind chakra through Gamatatsu it creates a powerful and fast stream of water, which eventually spreads out to cover a much larger area but maintaining a powerful striking force due to the wind chakra.
Note: Can only be used with Gamatatsu and Know toad summoning contract.

Another Toad Contract exclusive, where the user and a Toad, will combine forces. The Toad will unleash a fast stream of Water, while the user will unleash a powerful stream of Wind. This causes the Water to expand over a large area, and also bring with it a powerful force and blunt damage.

Description: Rasengan doesn't require handseals, only molding of the chakra. The user focuses and creates a fast, rotating sphere of chakra in the palm of their hand which can cause much destructive impact. A direct Rasengan hit can be lethal but the user needs to actually physically hit the opponent for it to work.

Through the use of molding Wind based chakra, the user will focus a large amount of said chakra, into the palm of their hand. This allows the user to manifest forth a ball of spinning chakra, and adding a Wind affinity, creating a fast rotating sphere of Wind, which can be used to strike the opponent in close combat, and cause quite some damage.

Description: The Baku summon will suck in air causing a powerful vacuum that draws in the opponent and any debree. The summoner can use this Vacuum to increase the potency of their wind techniques by using the vacuum. The downside to this technique is the enemy target can use a Fire Style Technique and increase its power by using the vacuum to attack the Baku directly.
Note: Can only be used by Danzo biographies.

A technique used by Danzo's Mythical Baku Summoning. Through focusing its Wind chakra, the Baku summon will suck in a large amount of air, creating a vacuum which draws in the opponent and any debris in the surrounding area. During this, the user is able to use the vacuum as a conduit to increase their own Wind techniques, though a well timed Fire technique could easily destroy the entire technique.

Description: The user will grasp their hands together in a prayer form. Then, the user will begin gathering chakra in the arms that will be manipulated to create individual, long wind blades extending from each arm. After that, the user will propel themselves forward at great speeds and slash along the torso of the opponent, leaving an X-shaped wound upon the foe's chest that causing mild bleeding.

The user will form their hands in prayer form, and gather their Wind chakra in their arms. The user will then manipulate it, in order to form long Wind blades that extend from each arm. The user will then enter close range, and aim to deliver a slash on the opponent, leaving an X shaped wound. However, the user is still able to deliver several different cuts using the Wind blades.

Description: The user, upon physically touching an opponent, will tag them with chakra and channel it through their clothing. Opponents typically will be unaware of this process (bar Dōjutsu users and Sensor-types) until the user makes the Rat handseal, whenever, in order to activate it. The activation, itself, manifests as a gust of wind around the target that'll knock them about, taking them off guard. By making another handseal, the gust of wind can be further tightened to such a degree that the entrapped victim becomes unable to move their hands.

Note: Only useable twice per battle, and can last up to two turns at a time.
Note: Ineffective on clothing that has a higher concentration of chakra infused prior.

A technique where the user will focus their Wind chakra to their hands, and upon physically touching the opponent, tag the opponent with the chakra and channel it through their clothing. Without a form of Sensing, the opponent is unaware of the Wind chakra focused into their clothing. Through the formation of the Rat hand seal, the user will activate the chakra and create a gust of Wind around the opponent, taking them off guard and knocking them around. Another hand seal causes the gust of wind to tighten, and constrict the opponents' hands.

Description: After making the Rat handseal, the user creates and controls air currents from the palms of their hands, forming a large field of raging air currents and gusting winds. The technique expands quickly, rapidly spanning through all of the battle field, gathering debris, dust and other small particles in its path. The technique effectively creates a very large controllable "dust" storm.
Note: Lasts 3 turns or until released.

After the formation of the Rat hand seal, the user will manipulate their Wind chakra. This allows the user to firstly, create and then control air currents, from the palms of their hands. This causes an entire field, or raging air currents and devastating winds. Although not offensive in nature, the raging wind storm, picks up debris and dust, allowing the user to create an effective dust storm, and hiding themselves within the storm, effectively controlling the way the winds move to mask themselves.

(Fūton: Rasenshuriken) - Wind Release: Spiraling Shuriken

Description: By manipulating the wind-natured chakra of the Wind Release: Rasengan, Naruto was able to create four large points, causing the Rasengan to take on the appearance of a giant fūma shuriken, with the Rasengan in the centre remaining a perfect sphere. The technique gives off a loud screech-like noise during, and after formation. Others ninjas can learn the technique, but cannot throw it as they lack Naruto's skill with the rasengan to succeed nor can they produce as much damage as Naruto who, adding to the damage boost given to him to the aforementioned modes, gains another +10 damage when using it.

Through manipulating their Wind chakra, the user is able to create a more advanced form of the Rasengan. The user will add Wind nature to an existing Rasengan, forming it all in one swoop, creating what seems to be a Fuma Shuriken shape around the Rasengan. This allows it to cause more damage, however, it still requires normal physical contact, when using against an opponent, where the user will slam it into the opponent. While Naruto is able to launch it from a distance.

(Fūton:Kaze Hoi-Ru) - Wind Release: Wind Wheel

Description: The user makes three handseals, then forms a wheel of wind around themself or directly in their hand. Through the use of this wheel, one can travel towards their enemy and then get out of it whilst allowing it to continue onwards. The wind wheel is capable of cutting through B-rank Earth, and while the user is inside the wheel, it defends against basic weapons.

This allows the user to form a wheel of Wind around himself, or said hand, which can be used to travel towards the opponent (when around the body) or be thrown (when used around the hand). The wind wheel is able to cut through B rank and below Earth, and can defend against basic weapons.

In Tailed Beast Mode, Naruto is able to form two Rasenshuriken, one in each hand, and wield both at the same time. Their cutting power is so high that by using one of them as a melee weapon, Naruto was able to cut through the Ten-Tails' extremely durable tails with ease. He can sustain them on his hands and wield them as circular saws, cutting through his enemies or enemy techniques or simply throw them at a target.

Description:
The Big Ball Rasenshuriken is a larger variant of the Wind Release: Rasenshuriken. Because of the amount of chakra needed, the user will need to use 2 shadow clones to aid him in forming the sphere of concentrated wind chakra. The sphere can then be hurled against the target, exploding in a large wind vortex. If the user is whithin short range of his opponent, he'll also be caught in the technique. If Naruto is in Sage Mode, 9 Tails Chakra Mode or Tailed Beast Mode, he'll be able to use the technique without the use of clones. However, in the case of Sage Mode, it will reduce its duration by 2 turns.

A much bigger version of the already powerful (Fūton: Ōdama Rasenshuriken) Wind Release: Big Ball Spiralling Shuriken, this technique stands as probably the strongest wind technique shown in the manga. While in Tailed Beast Mode or 9 Tails Chakra Mode, Naruto will create 2 chakra arms and lift his hand above his head forming a large, garguantuan version of the (Fūton: Ōdama Rasenshuriken) Wind Release: Big Ball Spiralling Shuriken which he then hurls at the target. If he is in Short Range, he'll be caught in the wake of destruction as well.
Note: Can only be used twice by Uzumaki Naruto bios and while in either Tailed Beast Mode or 9 Tails Chakra Mode
