Hey guys, would appreciate some feedback on this cover I made of Metallica's Ecstasy of gold

You played it pretty well. The only thing I noticed is that your guitar seems to be mixed too loud at the beginning of the song. It sounds great for the middle and end solo but the intro sounds slightly drowned out by your lead guitar.
Is that a Dean?
Yep true, I sucked big time with remixing at that time, it was pretty hard with very decent material.
Yes, Dean Vendetta
Mixing is difficult and arguably just as important as guitar playing. But hey, that's how we learn. Props for putting your covers out there. Keep doing them and you'll be able to look back on past mixes and notice your improvement. Audacity isn't the best mixing software also, but it still gets the job done. I would recommend Reaper as an inexpensive alternative... in case you were looking for new software.
Cover is good. Do you do any of your own songs?
Sadly no, I still need to master a whole world of scales and techniques in order to make up a song
