Gai dad was a failure and he kinda was too until he met Kakashi then became a great taijutsu expert
Rock Lee naturally cant used jutsu so he perfects his taijutsu
Metal Lee (THEORY) A boy born with a devastating disease that weakened his body so much that he was destined to never become a ninja this was his childhood dream but it was ruined the day Tsunade told him this. Rock Lee remembering his origin and all knows that he had a similar fate since he could not use ninjutsu at all found out about the kid and told him his own story about how he was able to become so strong so he trained with Lee but not even 30 min into training the boy broke his legs so Lee rushed him to Sakura to heal him then he gets scolded by her knowing what did was wrong telling him that the boys body was literally as fragiles as a new born babys then Lee upset left and told Guy about the situation. Tenten over hears what has happened and offers to help in some way then Gai comes up with a plan....
"What if Tenten could make armor that enhances his performance!" (Similar to what Forest Gump wore in his movie forgot the name) Then she makes it for him and Rock Lee trains him and the boy still isnt able to use jutsu at all but easily excells faster than Rock Lee as a kid.
