I've taken a recent interest in abnormal psychological behaviors and personality disorders, thanks to taking PSY 250. And what better way to explore my interest then by giving mental diagnosis of Naruto characters. I’m no professional psychologist, but with what I’ve learned, I’ll be able to give an amateur diagnosis provided with evidence of course.

With all the evidence, I’m convinced Sasuke’s a psychopath and I guarantee you there are more connections you can make on your own. If you have any thoughts or counter arguments, please share. I’d be more than interested to see what you have to say. I’ll give any links to my sources if asked for.
WARNING: LONG AF
Now I’m convinced that Sasuke Uchiha suffers from antisocial disorder and would be classified as Psychopath, which is simply defined as an individual with a complex personality disorder where an individual lacks regard for social normalcy, empathy, and remorse. Along with these traits, here are some common traits amongst psychopaths include;

- Violent
- lack of realistic long-term goals
- Sexual promiscuity
- Juvenile delinquency
- Irresponsible
Charming
Sasuke has always been one of the most desired characters by fellow female ninja. With zero effort, Sasuke’s able to charm these women to the point where they’re willing to die for him. Although Sasuke shows no form of interest at these women throwing themselves at him, he does use his charm from time to time to manipulate them which is another trait of a psychopath. What may appear to be heartfelt moments from Sasuke are nothing more than lies.

False: Sasuke stated this to Sakura approximately 12 years ago.

Junvenile Delinquency
From leaving the village and joining Orochimaru, to leading Taka and attacking the Kage Summit; Sasuke has Junvenile Delinquency written all over him. Psychopaths are known to begin “acting out”, and have behavior problems during their adolescence. Around Sasuke’s age, a psychopath would have had several bad run ins with law enforcement.

Lack of Empathy/Guilt
Sasuke has betrayed his friends, joined the criminal organization known as the Akatsuki, wrongfully killed his brother, and caused his “best friend” Naruto to lose an arm, only to shed a single tear by the end of the series. Now there’s a common misconception that Psychopaths lack all emotion which is not true. Psychopaths are known to feel emotion, but those emotions are impaired, lack depth, and are not dwelled upon. Although they can somewhat feel these emotions, true remorse is absent.

With no delay, Sasuke sacrificed Karin, one of his supposed team members with no sense of guilt or remorse. Quite impulsive if you ask me.
Sasuke’s apology to Sakura could have been genieune and sincere, the emotions that sparked the apology were short lived. Note how the apology lacked elaboration. Sasuke did apologize for his actions, but could have felt no true remorse.

Sign of Empathy?
Some may argue Sasuke’s lack of empathy is bogus since he protected Naruto from one of Haku’s deadly attacks. You could say Sasuke protected Naruto out of empathy, but a series of experiments done by Susan Krauss Whitbourne, Ph.D, a professor at the University of Massachusetts gives supportive evidence that psychopaths are more likely to take actions that would benefit other individuals on a same team, than to take actions that are equally beneficial that would only benefit the individual who took them. Sasuke possibly took Haku’s attack out of his own self-preservation, knowing that he would not be able to defeat Haku on his own.

Sexual promiscuity
Sasuke has only been with one woman, resulting in Sarada. Regardless if that woman was Sakura or Karin, Sasuke had no form of romantic relationship with that woman. Notice throughout the entire Naruto series, Sasuke has shown literally no form of interest in any female, nor any male for that matter. It’s not uncommon for an anime character, yet alone an actual human being to have little to no romantic interest in other people, but for Sasuke, it a appears depper than that. Since psychopaths lack emotional connection and empathetic feeling, they see no use in having a relationship since they’re incapable of relying on another individual. This is not to say psychopaths can’t have “urges” and “desires”, it’s just that their urges and desires are channeled via other methods; power is one of them.

Violent
We don’t really have to discuss this do we? Ever since the beginning of the series, Sasuke has always handled his problems through violence. I can understand that he lives in a ninja world, so there’s always going to be violence, but he always resorts to violence. Note Sasuke’s fights are always the bloodiest and most gruesome.
