Five years earlier​

A Five year old Yugito was walking through the streets of the village a couple steps behind Hazashi. On the roof tops and side streets, two full squads of ANBU kept watch on their progress while trying to remain discreet. They were all but invisible to the villagers but with Yugito’s sense of smell, sight and hearing she was able to detect them easily. Today seemed like her normal day of routines of having to get up, get dressed, eat, get picked up by Hazashi and train the entire day, but today seemed different they were being summoned to the Raikage’s mansion for something, for what she wasn’t sure. Yugito hadn’t been summoned to the mansion before and never had she actually been within touching distance of it. She felt excited but nervous at the same time.

The streets looked and sounded lifeless, not one person seemed to be around, this was normal seeing as it was almost Six in the morning and the only people that would be up were the shopkeepers preparing to open up their shops. Yugito found herself enjoying the view, seeing the Village from bellow was a treat but she did wish she was able to see it when it was bustling with life.

Out of the corner of her eye Yugito spotted something black that seemed to be moving in sync with her walking, to her left a small black cat seemed to be mimicking her movements as she moved her legs and entire body, It was atop one of the rooftops and glared down at her wagging its tail. Yugito stopped and watched as the cat did the same, a smile spread across her face as she stared at the cat and was shocked when the cat seemed to smile right back at her, its eyes glowing a strange blue colour as it seemed to stare at Yugito. She began doing a small dances as she continued walking behind Hazashi trying not catch his attention, Bobbing her head back and forth and stomping her feet, Yugito shook her butt back and fourth wagging it from side to side making it look like an awkward type of Marching, she watched as the cat did the same Bobbing its head and awkwardly marching with each step. Yugito let out a loud burst of laughter causing it to echo throughout the street, she had forgotten where she was and that she was following Hazashi as well as being followed by a team of ANBU.

Hazashi: What is so funny Yugito? And what is it that you seem to have been staring at for the last twenty minutes or so??

Without her knowing, Hazashi had been watching Yugito the entire time, it was his job of course so why would he let his guard down for any reason.

Yugito: That black cat up there with the blue eyes, she’s mimicking my movements and coping everything I do

Yugito seemed to speak cautiously as she was unsure how Hazashi would react, she pointed at the cat as it stood there licking its paws and purring.

Hazashi: There seems to be nothing up there Yugito, are you sure your just not hallucinating because your half asleep?

Hazashi seemed concerned, he had a hunch what it was but knew she was still too young to be able to contact the two tails.

Yugito: She is there! I know she is, her name is Matabi!! And.. and.. I’m not just Hallucinating

Yugito didn’t know how she knew that name but it sounded familiar and right to say it, As she said it Matabi disappeared in blue fire and was gone. Yugito was amazed at what she saw and began jumping up and down excitedly.

Hazashi: *So she is able to contact the Two Tails and the Two tails to her, I must let the Raikage know at once. At such a young age shes able to communicate with it, incredible.*
