Dark Release, or Meiton, is an Advanced Element ( AE ) that works by absorbing and then releasing energy through the use of 2 diamond shaped marks placed on the users palms ( not sure if this is the case for everyone ). The top diamond is used to absorb the energy and is then released through the bottom. Upon the energy being absorbed, it is stored in a separate place not attached to the user. Essentially what this means is even though it seems the energy is stored in the user, its actually stored in a different dimension.

Due to the nature of the element, it is strong to energy based elements and weak to solids because it is unable to break down the matter.

This is legit all I know off the top of my head so feel free to drop that knowledge. xD

That was good. Here's more elaboration.

Dark Release is a Kekkei Genkai said to be originated from Kirigakure, although by an unknown shinobi from it. Hiruko the villain stole this ninja's Dark Release KG and showcased numerous abilities with it. As you said, Dark works in absorbing other energy sources and redirecting them in a far stronger version of raw energy. The colour of the released chakra is light blue, but this can depend. They can be purple or any color really.

The method I've used in order to make a better understanding of Dark will make things less confusing for you, at least I hope so. Dark Release is divided into two categories, that of "Absorption" based Dark and "Release" based dark. Now the former deals in absorbing chakra (mostly energy based elements, however higher ranked Dark techniques can even absorb Water or Earth at some point. But note that this doesn't absorb the matter at all, it just absorbs the chakra within it, rendering the "physical" shell useless). The dark marks located in your palm need to be short range away from an attack for them to absorb it most of the time. Whereas the Released version of Dark is releasing the absorbed chakra in the form of raw energy, which is alike to light blue energy resembling flames. This form of Dark does not have the ability to absorb things. Normally, a hit from this raw energy grants death to almost anyone. A B-rank dark explosion is enough to deal life-threatening damage. Another branch of the Released version is that beside the blue flames, it can also come in blast and shockwave version; things which will be portrayed to you during the training.

So, because the absorbed chakra stays in another dimension, the things we absorb don't affect us. This means that we can absorb Sage chakra without turning to stone.

Lastly, in the RP, Dark is composed of Lightning and Fire chakra.

So first off here are two techniques which don't need absorbing something beforehand.

(Meiton No Jutsu) - Dark Release Technique

Description: The user can make small dark release energy blasts, shields or any form he wishes to make through the usage of dark release. However, it's not a solid matter as its substance is almost like Wind Release.

Description: This is a stronger version of the Dark Release technique. The user can shoot dark release energy blasts, shields or any kind of shape through the usage of the Dark Release but on a larger scale than the standard Dark Release technique.

Just like each element Dark has its generic application usage too. You can perform virtually any shape with Dark chakra, although it will be just like Fuuton in substance, so it can't be solid. Give me your thoughts on these two and how'd you use them in a battle?

There isn't much difference between these 2 techs except for the rank and range. As for the usage, it can be used offensively, defensively or for supplementary uses and the creations are only limited by the users imagination. Its especially useful because unlike most Dark techs, they don't require you to absorb a tech beforehand so it can be used at any time.

Battle wise, they would be useful for quick defenses and such against Wind, Fire and Lightning tech, pretty much most energy type attacks or to surprise an opponent with point blank attacks. Due to its intangibility, you can't create constructs to stand on ( like you would with an earth golem ) or defend from solid attacks.

(Meiton: Kyūketsukō) - Dark Release: Inhaling Maw

Description: The user uses their dark release to forcibly extract the physical and spiritual energy (chakra) of another ninja and absorb it through the upper square of the mark on his left hand, which can then be used to perform Dark Release: Judgment.
Note: Can absorb up to A-Rank Wind, Fire and Lightning techniques, S-Rank raw chakra or C-Rank Water, all within reason. Has no effect on Earth techniques.

(Meiton: Meifu no Iriguchi ) Dark Release: Netherworld Gates

Description:
The user will spread his arms to the sides and point his palms outwards in opposing directions, activating his absorption squares in both his hand markings. As he does, a radial vortex-like effect is creating towards each hand. By doing this, the user is able to defend from attacks (following the elemental weaknesses and strengths of the KG) that are thrown at him from all directions, as the vortexes will direct them to the markings. However, if the user fails to keep both arms and markings perfectly opposed to each other, the vortexes will become unstable and fail.

(Meiton: Kyūkyoku no Kyūketsukō) Dark Release: Ultimate Inhaling Maw

Description:
The user, when facing an attack, will clap his hands together and separate them right after. As he separates his hands, a small dark sphere will be between them. The user maintains his hands close to sustain the small sphere while it siphons any enemy technique or enemy chakra within range towards itself. The sphere is a "void" made by activating both absorbing markings in the users hand at the same time and opposing them to each other, which creates this effect. This technique is essentially a more advanced and powerful version of Dark Release: Inhaling Maw and enables the user to absorb higher ranked techniques. However, when used, the user needs to wait one turn to use Dark Release absorption related techniques.

The common element of them is that you need to activate your absorption mark, and according to the rank of the technique, you can absorb incoming attacks. However, the B-rank Inhaling Maw is excluded from following the S/W because it can only absorb what's shown in the notes. Then you have Netherworld Gates and the S-rank Ultimate Inhaling Maw.

Right, so before giving an analysis on them individually, I should point out any traits they have in common. The most noticeable similarity is that they can only be used within short range of the tech which you're trying to absorb. Another is the damage, or lack thereof. As they are absorbing techs, they don't cause any damage.

( Meiton: Kyūketsukō ) - Dark Release: Inhaling Maw

This is performed by activating the upper absorption square on the users left hand which allows the user to absorb A ranked energy based attacks ( fire, lightning, wind ) and S ranked raw chakra as well as C rank water techs. Ofcourse this has to be within reason, by this they mean you can't defend against attacks coming towards you from all directions because this is focused on your left palm only.

Just taking a shot here because I'm sure I know the answer as the tech states it but, is it at all possible to use your right hand? If not this ain't great for quick defense.s

( Meiton: Mei u no Iriguchi ) - Dark Release: Netherworld Gates

When I read the tech, I can't help but picture Super 17 using something similar lol. Anyway, after activating the absorption marks on both palms, the user spreads his hands to the side so they are parallel to the ground and creates radial vortexes that draws attacks towards the marks ( a suction-like effect in simple terms ) regardless of what direction they are approaching from. Unfortunately the user has to remain in the same position as any movement of the arms will cause the vortexes to become unstable and dissipate.

Am I right to assume this won't protect you from attacks directed from below you?

( Meiton: Kyūkyoku no Kyūketsukō ) - Dark Release: Ultimate Inhaling Maw

After clapping his hands together and then drawing them apart, the user creates a small dark sphere between them ( similar to Dust users ) that siphons enemy techniques or chakra within range. Due to the nature of the tech, the user can't draw his hands too far apart because the effect is created by the simultaneous activation of the absorption marks on his palms when they are opposing one another. Only drawback is that you gotta wait one turn before you can use any absorbing dark techs.

Technically it is possible since all the marks are linked to each other just like portals. But better play it safe so you don't get quoted by ninjas these days.

Alright next up are two generic 'Release' technique which require earlier absorption. Just like the previous ones analyze these.

( Meiton: Kuro Aku Reiki ) - Dark Release: Evil Black Aura

Simple technique really, having already absorbed a jutsu, the user is able to release Dark waves that can reach up to mid range.

( Meiton: Yami no Nami) - Dark Release: Darkness Wave

Similarly to the previous technique, it can only be used once the user has absorbed a jutsu. Not entirely sure why it says long range though considering its being released from your hand.

(Meiton: Dassui Fureru) Dark Release: Draining Touch
Type: Offensive
Rank: B-Rank
Range: Short
Chakra: 20 (-40 chakra points to the enemy)
Damage: N/A
Description: By activating the absorption mark in one of his hands and touching an enemy, the user is able to absorb up to 40 chakra points on contact. This chakra can then be used to fuel release-type Dark Release techniques.

Description: By gathering dark chakra into both their hands, the user can then unleash a powerful and focused shock wave that, when it hits a person close range it could cause tremendous internal damage.

First one is a close range absorbing technique. By activating your mark, you touch the opponent and sap 40 chakra away from him. This can be used to use Release techniques. Revival Fist is a Release technique which is a shockwave, unlike the blue flames version.

By placing your hand on your opponent after activating one of the absorption marks, you're able to drain 40 CP from him that can then be used for dark release techniques.

Having already absorbed a technique, the user will gather chakra in both his hands and create a shockwave that can extend up to long range.

To do this, the user releases chakra from the markings in both his hands.

(Meiton: Chō Kasseiken) - Dark Release: Super Revival Fist

Description: This jutsu works in similar fashion to rasengan. By releasing and gathering dark chakra into one of the users hands, the user can create a dark orb with two dark rings around it (giving an atomic look). The user will then plow the orb into the opponent, resulting in the opponent being with tremendous bone shattering force.

( Meiton: Jajjimento ) - Dark Release: Judgment

After absorbing a technique using Inhaling Maw, the user converts the chakra and releases it in the form of light blue flames back at the opponent from the lower mark on his left hand.

( Meiton: Kyūkyoku no Jajjimento ) - Dark Release: Ultimate Judgment

Just a stronger version of the first one except the user releases the flames from both hands instead of one.

( Meiton: Chō Kasseiken ) - Dark Release: Super Revival Fist

Having already absorbed an opponents chakra, the user will convert and gather it in the palm of his hand, shaping it into a dark orb that he can attack an opponent with, similarly to Rasengan.

No questions, they're all pretty simple.
