Apparently, punching the ground solves all your problems. Because a kage level ninja would obviously falter against such a thing .Lol
Because it's a Kage level ability. Just saying, name someone else who is capable of such a strategy. I understand the radius of Mei's attack but the nature of mist in itself leads to it dispersing.

To be fair Ice, this isn't your best argument thus far. Since I'm currently distracting myself from a jurisprudence paper, this seems like a worthwhile use of distraction time.
Good luck on the jurisprudence paper.
I'll first assert that Katsuyu is not necessary for Tsunade to pull out a win. While it is true that Mei's suiton contains salt, Brine does not kill slugs, except maybe from them drowning which is hardly a relevant discussion here. The reason pure salt kills a slug is because salt is a desiccant, meaning it draws water out of things. But, when in salt water, the salt is already using it's effects on the water present and thus creatures such as sea slugs and sea snails and oysters and sponges can exist without drying out.

Now slugs do have naturally acidic bodies it's true, but many slugs dwell quite comfortably within areas in which the ph level is near 6.5 to 7.5. Given this is true, Mei's suiton will not do much to the slugs, especially considering on of the ways one deals with slug infestions is to line their garden with wood ash which is a fairly strong alkaline. But the reason this is effective is because it irritates their mucus lining, not change the ph of their entire body. Thus, such a claim is highly doubtful to be true.
Okay I'll agree I was wrong but regardless, Katsuyu gets pushed back out of the battlefield and isn't going to be in a position to shoot acid at Mei immediately after getting blasted. Also if Katsuyu is spitting acid at Mei, her suiton will simply dissolve the acid creating an acidic water dragon which Mei can send right back at Katsuyu or potentially get Tsunade within the trajectory of the attack.

However, once Mei uses hidden mist, Katsuyu won't be able to find Mei so she becomes useless, Tsunade can use her hearing to find Mei until Mei uses acid mist which will cause her ear drums to start burning up and possibly melting. Once that happens Tsunade won't be able to hear properly while constantly regenerating the damage in her ears. Tsunade's fighting style is quite noisy so Mei will know Tsunade's position within the mist and then finish her off with youton. Tsunade isn't dodging it while being burned and blinded at the same time, both of which reduce her reaction time.

So sorry, at the beginning of your argument there is a flaw, namely that you assert two total possibilities where more exist. For instance if Mei decides to use Water Dragon Jutsu Tsunade can avoid such a jutsu. The Reason Madara could not was because he was already in involuntary motion as a result of Tsunade's punch. Tsunade however, should be able to get out of the blast range before the technique hits her. The problem that occurs with long range attacks, is that to avoid them you need only side step them. With enough time, and with the reflexes and knowledge necessary one should be able to avoid most long range attacks. And as Tsunade is able to jump great distances in the time that it takes for Mei to gather the necessary chakra, and attack using suiton [ ]I think asserting that Tsunade will be a deer in headlights is inaccurate. In fact, I hold that in the same way, Tsunade leapt to ward of Madara's Katon she could have leapt to safety. And insofar, as it was possible for Tsunade to avoid a Katon, which did not provide Mei enough time to counter, then I see no reason that Tsunade cannot avoid Mei's suiton.
My point was Mei would use water dragon while Tsunade charges at her. Tsunade isn't sidestepping the water dragon while she blindly charges forward unless she decides to jump in the air where she can't dodge a followup youton yokai no jutsu similar to how . My initial premise stands as well.

Anyway it seems like you highly overestimate Tsunade's ability to simply jump out of the way. Against Madara's , she couldn't do anything whereas Mei managed to close the distance which took Tsunade some time to close, considering she had a conversation with Madara before doing so. Mei's suiton rival Madara's katon so if Tsunade couldn't sidestep Madara's katon, she isn't sidestepping Mei's suiton. The katon attack Madara used against the five kages when they were low on chakra was quite pitiful compared to Madara's other katon attacks including the one that got doused by Mei so Tsunade being able to sidestep such an attack doesn't say much.

Now dealing with Mei's Yoton, Mei's Yoton has never been to be particularly fast. In fact, Karin managed to it entirely. A heavily fatigued Sasuke easily it. And in response to your Mei just turning her head argument, it'll be something like when Mei to hit Madara, but Ay had to into the lava. Mei's lava is simply not fast enough to attack an opponent head on.
Karin was yet she and even after sidestepping it, she barely sidestepped it and was hurt due to the manner in which she dodged. Sasuke was forced to use susanoo and didn't get out of its range.

Madara is far faster than Tsunade, what is your point? This is SM Naruto's speed compared to Tsunade's ( )( ). This is Madara's speed compared to SM Naruto's ( ).
The next problem that you've reached is applying Naruto's lava to our lava. If Mei's lava were as hot as our lava Raikage could not have served as her support, Karin should still have felt the effects from the heat of the lava, and Madara though being protected by Susanoo should have burst in flames. Additionally, we have no way to guage accurately how hot Mei's lava was as Dodai too but his lava is clearly not as hot as Mei's nor real world lava.
Karin did feel the need to dodge despite her not being within the trajectory of the lava. She is an Uzumaki who has a strong life force and healing abilities which allowed her not to get burnt to crisp by amaterasu ( ). Raikage has resistance to heat as he didn't flinch when the black flames were on his arm ( ). Madara didn't burst into flames because susanoo acts as a layer which protects the user from immense heat as shown when Sasuke covers his susanoo with enton without getting burned. Dodai uses some , not molten liquid lava.

Anyway if Tsunade does get hit, she is finished, Byakugou isn't saving her considering the lava will seep through her skin and to her vitals which Mei thus blocking her vital body functions. Byakugou can't do anything when Tsunade's insides and outsides solidify into rock. To prove Mei can cool and harden the lava at will, notice that against Madara, but against Sasuke, she hardened it immediately afterwards to block Sasuke's escape route( )( ).
Now let's talk about Mei's Acid Mist, in the incident with Sasuke, Mei's mist was significantly more concentrated because it was an enclosed space, a luxury that Mei is not afforded here. Further most acids do not melt skin, as seen by what happened to Sasuke, he started to get . The fact then that Mei's mist can melt Susanoo does not translate to Mei's mist can melt flesh. It takes extremely powerful bases hours to melt down a body, and powerful acids can take days. But, given that in an ideal environment the worst Sasuke received was chemical burns suggest not only will the acid mists effects be less extreme because it is more diluted, but that damage should occur at a rate the . Also, one of the key point of the Byakugou no jutsu is that Tsunade does not have to focus her attention on healing, the process happens on it's own. As opposed to Creation Rebirth. Creation Rebirth showed that healing a multitude of wounds simultaneously is not a problem.
I'm not in the mood to do scientific research so I'll just stick to the manga. Sasuke's arm was within susanoo, so it was protected from the brunt of the acid, a luxury that Tsunade doesn't have. I'll admit the acid mist won't be concentrated so I doubt Tsunade's regen won't save her from getting melt. However, her eyes, ears, mouth, nose, respiratory system and other parts of her body will be under immense stress from the pain and the need to constantly regenerate. Mei finishes Tsunade off with lava which Tsunade isn't dodging under these painful conditions, not a chance.
I find the claim that Mei will gather the chakra and perform a jutsu faster than Tsunade can hit the ground to be a little preposterous. And since Tsunade won't have to focus on regenerating, her ability to CES should in no way be impaired. That's akin to saying that whilst Tsunade is regenerating, she cannot use her transformation jutsu. Tsunade is obviously quite skilled a keeping multiple jutsus active simultaneously. For instance, in this alone Tsunade is using 3 of her abilities. Referring to that scan, note the size of those Susanoo swords to the size of Tsunade's hands. There is a large difference between being impaled by two of those swords, and caught in a diluted acid mist.
Speaking of Tsunade's transformation, after Sakura punched the ground, she comments on how she doesn't need to use the seal to look younger ( ) which explains why her punch was so strong. So Tsunade multitasking will cause her abilities to diminish if Sakura, who without multitasking, has a stronger punch than Tsunade. We saw Tsunade , no shockwaves comparable to Sakura's were created. Yes, some of the energy from Tsunade's punch was absorbed by the susanoo clone but since the susanoo clone didn't take any damage, the energy lost through using susanoo clone as a medium to strike the ground was minimal. An explanation could be that Tsunade was impaled so she couldn't use CES to maximum effectiveness, this only serves to prove my point that while Tsunade is regenerating, she can't use her strength to maximum potential. The swords through Tsunade's abdomen only dealt localized damage whereas acid mist, diluted or not, will do damage everywhere on Tsunade's body and even inside her body since she'll inhale it.

Mei can easily use with just one handseal to guard against shockwaves which are going to lose effectiveness if Mei has distance from Tsunade and if Mei is close to Tsunade, Tsunade's going to be impaired by acid mist.

People seem to be forgetting that suitons aren't all about blunt force - Tsunade can drown in them. Byakogou isn't helping against that.
