A sand tsunami still finishes Mei. Don't see how she counters it. Mei's lava seems to be a good counter against Gaara's sand defence though as it can magmatize the sand and make it useless. Acid mist is countered by sand dome and sand armour combination.

Gaara wins mid difficulty although with some help from others, Mei could pull this off.

Wouldn't the sand go right through the tidal wave and bury her nonetheless. I'm sure Genii will come here very soon explaining how Gaara would own Mei but I usually disagree with his stance.

Well its not regular water, it would probably have enough force to stop the sand. Idk, I don't care enough about this issue to argue on it especially on a site full of Gaara fanboys.

I guess in that case Gaara high difficulty as I don't think that Mei has powerful enough ninjutsu to overwhelm Gaara even if Mei can make some of Gaara's sand useless. Gaara has better feats than her and I would like to see more from her lava since as of yet it hasn't done much.

Gaara high diff,e he is a far range fighter and most of Mei's KKG have to be used in close combat if she tries to get colse to Gaara she will be buried by his sand.

You people must forget at what range gaara can fight .... mei won't hit him what so ever once he goes into the air.. and since he's on a beach, sand everywhere..in the sea and on the land.. this isn't much of a fight

The scale at which Gaara can use sand jutsus with sand already in the environment is just massive. Watch the anime Gaara vs Deidara fight, that was completely insane what Gaara was doing. He could solo most. Mei although she has impressive ninjutsus, has no feats of being able to create attacks at the scale that Gaara was making. He will bury her under sand.

sand + water= watery sand which will just give gaara a more denser weapon, water does not beat gaara's sand. when you mix a large amount of sand and water most of the mixture will be sand i don't see mei beating gaara. sand tsunami> water tsunami
