Early on, her lava and mist will be tough to handle, but its nothing Gaara can't cope with as long as he keeps his distance and trades from far away as well.
Once he gest a sand tsunami ready she's inevitably overwhelmed.

Nah dawg, I'd say mei if I thought she could win. I mor ebelieve she can defeat kages like oonoki and tsunade (and ay highly depending on scenario) than gaara. Gaara's arsenal kinda messes her up...

Hidden mist won't affect him due to sand sensing.
Acid mist will have a delayed effect on him due to sand armor. By the time he notices there's acid, he can go away.
Gaara can bypass any of her defences/attacks by launching attacks right at her feet.
Her suiton and lava still can be blocked while gaara attacks at the same time from another direction.
