Ay: Un-equaled speed aside from Naruto, Minato, and maybe the 8 Gates

Tsunade: Healing abilities can tank virtually any attack

Gaara: Can create Deserts as well as is capable of flying.



In battle....

Oonoiki vs Mei: Between his ability to fly and his Jinton, he manages to create AoE damage as well as evades the majority of her moves. Mei's lava has been noticeably more like a blanket that one has to be unable to escape. Its arcing cover distance is small. Additionally, flight takes him out of the range of her boil release. All he must do is dodge Suiton.

Ay vs Mei: Ay's speed prevents Mei's attacks from landing. While he'd have to avoid completely the Lava release. It is likely he is able to endure boil release if he runs through it. Remember, his ration armor does strengthen him to a degree. His willingness to sacrifice limbs could also mean he'd be willing to lose it to the boil release just to kill Mei.

Tsunade vs Mei: Unfortunately, Mei's moves are all AoE as opposed to slashing or cutting moves meaning Tsunade tanks them due to her regeneration abilities. Its possible something like say a decapitation would kill her; however, Mei has nothing capable of doing this. However, if she can spam and maintain distance...she has the potential to win due to her ranged moves.

Gaara vs Mei: Gaara has flight to evade her best moves. Additionally, he can form deserts that gives him access to unlimited sand. Her lava style would form glass which could trap herself, and her boil release doesn't really afflict sand as its simply particles of dirt/salt.


Against the other Kage, I personally view Mei as having a disadvantage due to Ay and Tsunade's tanking prowess...and then Gaara and Oonoiki's flight. While she's far from weak, her notable weak will compared to the other Kage is what makes me put her down as the weakest of the Gokage for the most part... Maybe if she had shown more confidence/resolve...it would be different, but at the same time...she doesn't do well particularly against the other Kage.

tsunade comes in second to gaara with screen time - we've seen everything she can offer bar an ass-pulled SSM(if it ever happens)
Oonoki comes in 3rd with the most panel time. The guy even has flashbacks in this manga, and roughly 3 encounters worth of info. We know just about everything this guy has to offer, even a broken back.
Ay comes in 4th with panel time. He has flashbacks with minato, and we have a ton of intel on his raiton cloak and abilities. We know everything he has to offer and he's not even as powerful as his dad - just faster. No hellstab, no Super armor. Just a boosted armor from raiton cloak, and some wrestling moves at high speeds.

Then we have Mei. Mei has had 1 1/2 chapter encounter with sasuke so that we can just get a teaser of her Acid mist and lava release, a few panels with a black zetsu, and barely any panels in the gokage fight. Everyone else in the gokage fight had more panel time than her, and unlike everyone else, we have NO flashbacks of her. We have no idea what the woman can do except create a blinding area that kills anyone and anything within it.

Even with mei's severe lack of screentime, she can already shit on Ay and tsunade, with high diff wins/loses against oonoki and gaara.

i disagree, with v2 armor cloak ay whould be able to pull off a lariat and kill her. mei doesn't have the speed to deal with ay i mean hell ay dodged an instant amaterasu, mei doesn't have a jutsu that fast

Agreed, we've seen Onoki, Tsunade, Gaara, and Ay at their limits but not Mei. She countered Madara's fire technique and that was it. The whole battle between Madara and the Kages was about hyping Madara with Onoki and Tsunade getting some panel time. Maybe she'll show something epic in a couple of chapters(doubt it though).

Agreed...but on the plus side, she was more useful than Ay and IMOH, performed just as well as Gaara. Ay didnt do anything but punch a hole through susanoo with Oonoki's help, something Tsunade can do by herself. And the only reason Oonoki and Ay were able to pull of that combo was because of Mei's hidden mist jutsu. Like the others have mentioned, she helped extinguish that fire jutsu Madara used against Tsunade (a fire jutsu which needed several ninja to extinguish the first time it was used). And it was partly because of her that perfect susanoo was revealed - Gaara and Ay used Mei's giant water dragon as a base for other techniques to land that final hit on Madara. Btw I think she's capable of defeating Oonoki and Gaara but its depends highly on the location. In a small enclosed space, her boil release is more potent, and Oonoki wouldnt be able to get out of range of Mei's jutsu, particularly her water dragon. With that thing chasing Oonoki around, he's unable to use jinton (I'm pretty sure he has to remain stationary). As long as their not fighting in a dessert, Mei has a slight chance, but the match up favours Gaara.
