Mei is underrated

People on the base severely underrate her. Many think she's weak or is simply jonin level. However, I disagree. She's definitely kage level. She's quite strong. Here's some examples. Madara's incomplete susanoo can tank something the strength of tenpenchi without any visible damage.

Here's what happened to that same incomplete susanoo when it was attacked by her lava style.

He even complimented A and Mei's offensive abilities. He even expressed some worry about the lava.

He got out anyway as seen in the previous scan, but his susanoo would clearly would have been destroyed if it didn't break out. That's a lot of power right there. You should also consider the fact that her lava can harden.


Solid fog jutsu is also intimidating. Sasuke's incomplete susanoo was helpless.

It's also hard to counter this jutsu due to it being a mist. It surrounds her, and it's hard to block if possible at all.


With these jutsus, Mei is definitely worthy of being a kage. Kakashi was considered worth the title, but he's not as good as Mei. But don't take my word for it....

It's manga fact that Mei is a Kage, and should be looked at as such. Doesn't matter if she's one of the "weakest" Kage, because she still has Kage level strength and anyone who disagrees is going against what is directly stated in the manga lol

yeah, she seems to be underrated at times.
and she's kage level no doubt. just think she lacks speed which seems to make her a bit vulnerable.
I find her to be particularly strong when in a team.
