First of all, i must say that i don't hate Mei(in the contrary i like her, especially physically 
), but i create this thread only to show how she was really disappointing so far as a kage. I wanted to give her time to show us what she can do really but chapters after chapters she is starting to disappoint me as a kage and i will explain:
But here is why i think Mei is overrate:
Having the title of kage doesn't mean no one can beat you, it doesn't mean a jounin from another village particularly can't beat you. For example, Minato was hokage when Sarutobi wasn't hokage anymore. Do you think that cuz he wasn't hokage, he couldn't beat kages from other village??
There are villages were there are much more stronger ninjas than others, that's why in those villages being kage is more impressiv than others. For example, if you look at Suna, besides Gaara when you look at the level of ninjas there, they are not that strong, but even if Gaara dies, there will be another to replace him, but do you think he would have the level of Onoki, Raikage or other kages? Do you think he would have the level of other strong jounins from Konoha for example like Kakashi or Gai, or Darui in kumo? No, i don't think.
But obviously i'm not saying if you're kage in Suna it means you're weak. No, there are exceptions. Even in a weak village, the kage could be the strongest of all kages, but i only want to show that the selection would be much more easier than in villages like Konoha or Kumo were there are a lot of jounins who are really strong and could even fight oder kages, but because you need only one as kage, one will be choosen instead another.
Anyway i say all that only to show that cuz she is a kage, it doesn't mean that jounins level from other villages especially or rogue ninjas couldn't kill her, at least from what we're seeing so far about her

Hopefully Chojuro was there to do the job but still it was disappointing. You can even notice in a chapter that she looked really tired
- In her fight against Madara, she only pass her time being either healed by Tsunade or saved by Gaara
- But what makes me believe she sucks even more is her attitude. I don't understand really how she was even named as a kage, when she always want to give up everytime if she think the opponent is strong. She doesn't have the will to fight and it's really dangerous. That means if a strong opponent like Pain for example was about to destroy her village, she will give up? Raikage was right when he said her to "shut up"
But here is why i think Mei is overrate:
- - People always say, "she has 2KG, so she is strong", but they forget that her jutsus have never killed someone so far, and they were even easily avoided. People sometimes refer to what she did against Sasuke, but Sasuke was tired to death at that time because of his previous fight and also because of Susanoo. He had even difficulties to walk and even then, she was helped by Chojuro to block him through the wall.
- People also think that, because she has the title of kage, she can't be defeated by other ninjas but they forget that Gaara was beaten by Deidara, a non-Kage, people forget Sasori has beaten Sandaime Kazekage, Orochimaru has beaten Yondaime Kazekage and i can even continue.
