Mei has the potential for a very interesting backstory

The way Kishi handled Mei really pisses me off. I mean, just look at who she is. She's the Mizukage of the Mist village. The same nation that, for many years, hated and [thus] killed anyone who possesed Kekkai Genkais. To now see that a woman like her, who posses two kekkai genkais, is now the Nation's leader, it would mean the people had a changing of heart. We should have been given some information of this changing of Mist's ideals through Mei, and how she made her way from being a person hated by her society because of her Bloodline Inheritance to a powerful woman who watches over her people.

All the other 4 kages have back stories except for her, and that's just not fair

Yes, Kishimoto could have easily pushed this manga to 800+ with more back story, and more character development. This war has been going on for almost 200 chapters in a span of THREE DAYS i didn't pay much though to it, but damn Kishi you f'ed up. big on Naruto. Hopefully after he finishes Naruto he'll do a side story series that focuses on chronicles of sorts would be neat.

Yes, Kishimoto could have easily pushed this manga to 800+ with more back story, and more character development. JK but Naruto feels like it's just getting dragged on now, the FV is wack, Madara who got one shoted had more personality, Sakura wasn't developed right and she is practically useless in the fight.

True. I want to believe that Maddy will come back, but time is running short on the manga eight chapters have been wasted with Kaguya, they could have continued fighting Madara in that mean time if the Kaguya BS didn't happen.

Yes it would but unfortunately Kishi hasn't ever cared much for female characters and now even sub major characters at this point are neglected.
