Mega Evolution ORAS Part 2.

I have made a Part 2 to my predictions for mega evolutions in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. For those reading this and not have read Part 1, here's a link...

As I wrote last time, these are only predictions for 3rd generation pokemon I believe could be in the great upcoming games coming out in four months ​

5) Mega-Zangoose​

Type Change? No
Type(s): Normal
Reasons: I've never owned a Zangoose before, but I remember battling it, and it was tough. I believe it and Seviper will both have mega-evolutions and be invincible. That would be really cool as well. Two enemies able to mega evolve and fight each other like a knight to a dragon haha. (the reason why I say dragon, is something u will find out next...) Zangoose would become one the most powerful normal types ever as I believe it already is. You wouldn't want to underestimate it...I wouldn't. ​

6) Mega-Seviper​

Type Change? Yes
Type(s): Poison/Dragon
Reasons: ...Shudder...Seviper mega evolving and just how awesome that would be...would be legendary. I see it becoming a dragon type too and would be an awesome match-up against Zangoose. Also becoming a Dragon type will help it become even stronger. The Knight (Zangoose) vs. The Dragon (Seviper).
Seviper would become more deadly and look menacingly.​

7) Mega-Masquearain​

Type(s): Bug/Fairy
Reasons: I've always wanted a Masquerain, but finding a Surskit was impossible. I found it once but couldn't catch it, not matter how hard I tried. It might be easier in the remakes and of course it would evolve into the beautiful Masquerain. I made a fakemon being a Bug/Fairy type and when I thought of Masquerain, I realized that would be awesome if it Mega-Evolved into a Bug/Fairy Type. An awesome match up That would make it stronger and more beautiful just like Milotic...(Fairy is my #1 favorite type so yeah haha).​

8) Mega-Tropius​

Type Change: Yes
Type(s): Grass/Dragon
Reasons: Even though Sceptile will already evolve into a Grass/Dragon, why not Tropius? I thought of a Grass/Dragon Tropius earlier this year when thinking of what new mega-evolutions there will be. I've always loved Tropius and it's design. Tropius mega-evolving would be insane and help it against fire types if it became a dragon type as well.​

9) Mega-Wailord​

Type Change: No
Type(s): Water
Reasons: It doesn't matter by size, small or big. I could see Wailord being able to mega-evolve and how even more powerful it would become. At first I thought of predicting a mega-evolution of a Wailord as a dragon type too, but I see it as a pure water type that would become and already is one of the strongest ever. That would be amazing to have a Wailord that mega-evolves and whether it does or not, Wailord is going to be on one of my future teams ​

I wish they'd regular Evolve Seviper before Mega Evolving it, but anyway.

Guess I'll put some input into this one too >_>

I actually use Zangoose and really much enjoy him. He has Toxic Boost which raises his attack by half if I recall correctly, paired up with toxic orb and Facade, most things that I encounter are a OHKO. I've 6-0'd people with Zangoose because of it. It even has access to Swords Dance if you can find the opportunity to use it. It's quite frail on top of losing HP from being poisoned but it damn well outspeeds most things if it's not scarfed and it has an increased speed nature. It is definitely not something you should overlook though obviously, having a mega stone completely counteracts all of that except if you can predict a toxic incoming. It should get a boost in both attack and speed, more favourably on the speed end. I don't quite like it's abilities if it were to be a mega. Immunity is just situational and Toxic Boost is only viable with Toxic Orb. It should get the ability tough claws, cause well.. Look at it. It's only fitting.

Mega-Seviper is a more trickier one to handle than Zangoose. I've never seen Seviper used in battle but it has a good 100 base stats for both Attack and Sp. Attack which is good but not anything to write home about. It's really lacking in speed, as 60 is a speed where it's in Limbo. It's too slow to really cause much threat but too fast for using trick room and being poison type, it really lacks offensive capabilities. If it were to get a mega, the speed needs to be sorted out either reduce it or give it a big increase I'm not sure what would be done with it's Attack/Sp. Attack but maybe that would be kept the same though Seviper does seem more physically orientated due to it's type and movepool. There isn't much in the way of abilities that would suit a Mega-Seviper, maybe intimidate? since Zangoose is high on attack or Poison Point. It's really up in the air on that one.

Mega-Masquerain... This one doesn't seem to appealing. It has no standout stat or ability. It's best stat is Sp. Defence at a whopping 82. It's not fast, it's not strong and it's certainly frail as well as being 4x weak to rock and an abundance of 2x weaknesses. It has intimidate but it's damn well not worth it. It would need something special to really make it a good Mega as it has the 2nd lowest stats of all megas (second to Medicham but it has Pure Power which makes all the difference). I don't see an additional 100 stats going into it being enough to help this guy out. It would need something drastic.

Mega-Tropius seems a bit more optimistic. Though it would lose it's only "niche" if it were to get a Mega-Evolution as Harvest would not work with it anymore. If it retains Solar Power and gets an increase speed and sp. attack (hopefully 50/50) it could see some usage in doubles with the likes of a drought pokemon or it could go bulky by boosting both of it's defences but I feel Venusaur feels that role better. Maybe if it got gale wings... No, I'll stop there.

Mega-Wailord. Since it's most standout stat is HP and HP does not increase upon mega-evolving, it's main focal can't be upgraded without an ability though there's nothing much out there for the water type pertaining reducing an attack or HP recovery I don't believe. I'd say just add 40 in both attack and sp.attack to make it 130 each, reduce speed by 30 and give both defences an increase by 25 to round them up to 70. Good HP, Good Attack, reasonable defences and would be devastating in a trick room team.

Salamence was covered in the previous thread. Most of these are the obvious megas that people are predicting and Rayquaza could possibly get a primal de-evolution since it would make sense due to Groudon and Kyogre getting one.
