I made a thread a while back based on Kishi's use of famous japanese names of mythological ninja, or very well known warrior of japanese history.
One of which was "Sarutobi Sasuke" (point for how awesome this guy must have been)
who was also apparently the thirds father:
i gave some history on the level of ninja this man apparently was, but figured hey, im sure kishi wasn't the first to base a story of someone like him.
and i guess i was right :
