This is why.

Journalistic Integrity is hard to find, to begin with. Now the 'live' interviews you see on TV are not even to be trusted.

I realize many of you on this site who may perhaps read this are quite young and in a world where you are focused on the immediate concerns of school, dating, and your first job. You've been taught that you can stay informed by watching the news, that compromise is the key to cooperation, etc.

Your fathers, mothers, grandparents, and elders created what is about to happen through their collective complacency and negligence. Make no mistake - it will fall upon your shoulders to fix it. You will decide what country your children grow up in.

One will be handed to you with all the promises in the world.

The other you will have to fight and claim piece by bloody piece.

Choose, you must. I only insist that you do so wisely.

That really is... Worrisome, but expected. And yes, we are complacent. It's odd. Accusations of corruption are everywhere, but we're too lazy and too focused on our own personal lives and those immediately around us. That video is proof of where America is heading; a full on dictatorship. I'm afraid the only thing that will motivate the people is a blatant dictatorship. Anything less, and only some people will move, but not the people. It's scary. Or at least, that's what it looks like to me, a high school student.

I saw that interview, both raw and edited yesterday on upworthy.com. (I think)

But yeah, mainstream media is just one tool of misinformation and distraction.

I'm not a big fan of the joke that this "conspiracy theories" have become. Usually, you just see baseless assumptions or BS. However, midia lying is a true. Not because they're illuminati, not because they're trying to rule the world... no. Because the government usually has to hide some stuff from the population, so they would pay or control the media.

This is quite simple to understand. Too much for an ideal democracy, right? Things have to get screwed up because of power/money and everything.

But what is this doomed world you speak of? Is it related to the video, I didn't watch it, but if you could explain.

Hahahaha. You're so cute. Did you try living in brazil? Way, way worse. More corruption, much more than you could ever imagine. And people are even more stupid.

And what you speak of, the dictatorship moving people, that's true. Previously, we were on a dictatorship, a very violent and opressive dictatorship. But people were smarter. They would complain, they would make strategies to criticize the government without them noticing it(many brasilian popular songs, the best the country has ever had of music, was written with that purpose).

I just don't understand. It seems that democracy makes people...dumb, for some reason. They can, and should, pariticipate in the government's decisions, they should complain about the problems and ask the politicians for the solutions they promised. But they don't, because things are "fine. And the government takes advantage of that.

It's not like we don't from time to time, but the politicians get bought off from lobbyists and worry about "the next election" to actually make some progression. This administration has seen the most amount of filibusters in Congress than the last several administrations combined. These reasons are primarily why we're stuck in limbo. This has little to do with the media video in the OP's thread, but you know :p

I'm sorry, it's not like you don't...what? I didn't get it.

As for the rest, I feel your pain. I know exactly what it feels like to have such politicians. And we have so many, so many unnecessary political positions. We have like, 20 or more ministries. We have a fish ministry, what the hell?

Sigh... It's sad.

I agree with you completely, The People just will not realize anythng untill the day is upon them. They are either to stubborn or just plain out don't care. I always talk to my family and friends about this and they agree(for the most part).

But what is this doomed world you speak of? Is it related to the video, I didn't watch it, but if you could explain.

Before I can begin to explain - you have to be willing to listen and to follow up on the things I will tell you about.

By no means should you blindly accept what I tell you - but it would make little sense for me to start breaking everything down and explaining if you are not willing to, at the very least, listen. The only other thing you will have to do is to believe you can understand concepts you have always been told are "complicated." People who are considered experts on the issue have broken it down and explained it - you just have to believe that you can empower yourself with that knowledge.

A lot of it has to do with economics and the history of our financial system. That is where the inescapable problem is. Other pieces of it have to do with how politics have corrupted the processes of our government and laws. Still others have to do with the implications of our current economic system with power centralized in the executive branch and a military with eroding culture full of soldiers who need to pay the bills for their families.

My experience with the military and government leads me to believe that there is no "grand conspiracy" behind these events. Government is fundamentally incompetent and filled with far too much in-fighting for such large orchestrations. It is many smaller 'plots' with the common goal of centralizing power for certain offices to be held by parties and the short-sighted goals of ensuring corporate kick-backs that have allowed the scale of individual 'plots' to reach into the realms of 'conspiracy.'

When you insert ideologies into those offices - you automatically get 'conspiracies' in the form of voluntary support from people of similar ideologies and goals. What the media has not reported on is how there are growing portions of our country's population that see our Constitution as a hindrance to what they believe is a 'new' way of thinking and governing - to their ideology and goals.

There are many factors behind what is happening and what will happen. Some of it is intentional planning by certain parties/interests. Most of it is simply how human nature plays out.

I stopped watching and believing tv a long time ago jaja seriously everything got just so dumb to me except anime

While I understand your reaction... it is precisely the wrong reaction.

Ignoring the problem does not make it go away. It's not your duty and responsibility to the nation to be informed and aware - it is a responsibility to yourself and to your future. You can ignore the goings-on of society all you want to. Right up until they show up on your door step and tell you what you're going to do.

Then your realistic options narrow considerably.

So you want me to fuss at the media about telling the truth or riot against my government. I am with @Hidden Sound. I am stuck in my life to care what goes on.

I am telling you that you have a choice that you will have to make.

Either you choose to secure your own future.

Or you choose complacency and place your future into the hands of others.

To select ignorance is to select complacency.

If you think securing your future is to riot, and you wish to secure your future - then, by all means. I can not, nor will I, guarantee success with your goals or methods.

I would advise against a riot, however. There will come a time for violence if you wish to secure your own future. But it must be precise, ordered, and resolved if you wish for it to effective in creating a future. Otherwise - you are merely opting to indiscriminately destroy potential futures.

I completely agree with this, that is why I'm not a big fan of the Illuminati and NWO Conspiracy Theories, it seems their subtle purpose is to give some sort of psychological comfort to people by introducing the idea that there's an element of human control (nefarious as it may be) over tragic and unforeseen events.
