It is rather amazing and it loads all the files in the folder and makes a playlist automatically. I found this more user-friendly and amazing compared to VLC or K-lite.

Well, VLC is still LGPL/open source. Also, while Pot Player does seem to have an easier interface, it is less configurable and thus you get less performance out of it. Though, in it's defense, on modern hardware the performance gains of VLC are rather negligible in terms of playing media.

Though, for video streaming, VLC is still king.
