Here is the first tip: Never assume someone is looking into your eyes, for they could just be looking at your body. Also, The fire technique is amazingly stupid to use with a river between us because i can just drown it out. Lastly, Don't start out so strong

As soon as I am blinded I quickly gather my suiton chakra and send waves of water everywhere (Note that this is before you use your fire technique), both Defending me from your attacks and attacking you at the same time. After the water blocks off your light i regain my vision and send my doton chakra throughout the whole battlefield, allowing me to sense you anywhere you are as long as you are touching earth. Then I wait to see what is happening

Tips: You would be somewhat still blinded even though you made the water wall. Light can sucessfully travel through water it just bends.

As i hear your water splash I deactivate my lightning jutsu to gain view of what you are doing. That when I see your water techniques coming right at me. I perform the necessary handseals quickly, then gather my fuuton chakra, and expel two wind balls. One at your water technique to counter it and another whichs head straight for you. I keep my eyes on your hand the entire time.

As I see you worrying about my wind blast i take this oppurtunity to strike again so I make a stone spike rise from behind you which would most likely pierce you through you chest plate. Wouldnt be an instant death but you would die within a matter of minutes or seconds.
