Ok, now I'm almost over my weekly Bleach sulk.

I was thinking, is this drug he is so horrifically inflicting on little Toshiro, do you think it could be a drug to bring the dead back to life. I know all of Mayuri's drugs are important to him but his reaction and seriousness on this one seemed a little more profound.

The very first drug Mayuri used on Hitsugaya was stated by Mayuri to put the affected in a time loop. I assume you are referring to the second drug that Mayuri shot into his neck after he was paralyzed, that drug has not been explained yet.

Exactly. Kurotsuchi is always excited to test new drugs, especially ones that may have fascinating results. He is a bit sadistic and heartless by nature, thus why he is always ready to test new things on anyone. But given that antidotes cure ailments, he wouldn't be seeing anything new.
