Only possible reason it disappeard is if the original got a fatal wound or something like this

Hashirama and Madara haven't existed for the last 7 odd weeks in Kishi's eye. They've gone to the same place Anko, Hidan, Kakashi and Yamato are hiding out.

Um, Hashirama's hand is very well attached to his hand near the upper right corner of the panel he gets assaulted in. Madara has to pierce him anyway in order to control him, which is very likely considering they are relatively equal in CQC....
