When did the 3T Sharingan knock back the Juubi's tails, which are superior to the Bijuu's tails, which mind you, was said to be on par with Hashiroid-enhanced Madara's stablized Perfect Susnao'O sword slash?

This is my honest opinion:

The Sharingan will always be stronger than the Byakugan.
The Byakugan (at least the one that Hinata/Neji have) is 'standard tier'
The new Dojutsu like Boruto's is probably going to be the stronger versions
The only reason why the Byakugan is weak is due to the lack of screen time, but I don't think that the Hyuuga's having more screen time will result in the normal Byakugan = Sharingan.

Boruto has a new Dojutsu for a reason. So yeah.

I agree with this. Though Burrito's new doujutsu may have roots in the Byakugan it seems to be be something altogether different, kind of like a branch of or mutation of the Byakugan rather than a natural evolution.

Hoping for the new Dojutsu to give the Hyuuga some hype. Uchiha stole the spotlight for so long, the fandom itself don't want to let go into something new.

Hopefully when Boruto starts mastering what-ever the eye can do, it has some bad-ass eye techniques. /Crosses fingers (50% ready for disappointment tho)

To be clear that was Juuken not the Byakugan. The Byakugan doesn't grant their user Juuken. Jyuuken was created by the Hyuga to compliment the Byakugans abilities. But with that said maybe this new Byakugan-like doujutsu of Burt's may devolp actual Jutsu derived directly from the Byakugan however.

Himawari couldn't learn it from Hinata when not only did she not have Byakugan up until then, even Hinata herself didn't know who hit Naruto, meaning she didn't train him.

As much as I'd like otherwise, I doubt Bolt will get Gentle Fist techs, considering Kishimoto pretty much wrote himself into a corner when he made that thing untankable, so having an MC with moves like that would be too broken imo, but no harm in keeping the visual enhancements.

Maybe Byakugan wankers are right after all. When we compare Sharingan with Byakugan, everyone says that Sharingan >>>>>. Which is obviously true at this point, but what if we take a look at it a little bit differently? Byakugan development stopped in Naruto P1. It was later in the series when Sharingan started getting massive upgrades: MS, EMS, OP jutsu, forbidden Sharingan techniques etc. Byakugan was neglected for all this time.

So maybe we should just compare Byakugan with 3T Sharingan and simply consider Boruto's Dojutsu another stage of Byakugan? Something MS-like? There definitely is potential, especially since Boruto is the main character of current series.

The only thing that bugs me is how the authors will explain the fact, that for so many years no one in the Hyuuga clan managed to awaken another level of Byakugan, despite them having very talented people and geniouses.

Usually depends on the chakra behind it. Someone like Hamura who had a byukagan was able to keep up with Hagormoo who had a rinnegan because they both had the same chakra/senjutsu. We'll never compare someone like EMS Madara to Hamura because of those chakra differences sharingan or byukgan.

But if we compare each other with an even standpoint then it is obvious from what we've seen so far that the sharingan is superior.

Sorry, but I refuse to believe that some random civilian Hyuga child born without any training in any ninja arts can just activate the Byakugan, channel chakra to their fingers and then strike someone's chakra points without any knowledge whatsoever. It's nonsense and you know it.
