With all this information recently received via black zetsu

Maybe it was him who poisoned Itachi with his unknown illness ?

I'm jus saying since he wrote the story of shinobi maybe he knew that Itachi had possesion of those two spiritual weapons and knew that he would be a great hindrance to his plans with the Totuska Blade being able to eternally seal anything it pierces.

And thus I believe he admitted to killing him when he says "Wow, Itachi is one tough dude. With the blade of totuska that pierces anything and the yata mirror that deflects any jutsu. Yea the perfect offense and defense." (No need for scan everyone has seen it 100s of times already)

Also with all the wank Black Zetsu has been giving Itachi lately is pretty suspicious too. I think he will tell Sasuke that he poisoned Itachi to make him realize there is no hope for this world. & this is what will make Sasuke snap and show his full arsenal. Because everyone knows how sensitive he is about his older brother.
