Looks: Maya is an average sized, tan skinned girl with blue eyes. She is very muscular in her shoulders and arms because she constantly uses them to move, and wears a green blouse with a red overcloak. She has a highly deformed left leg, which is result to her harsh birth conditions. She wears a cast over her leg which also has her ninja headband sown into it after she graduates from the academy, and a red boot on her other leg. She has long, flowing gray-blue hair that goes down to the seat behind the wheelchair, which is worn from continued use. She also has a very developed right leg, which is a fact she keeps hidden under her boot. The left leg, if uncovered, would be several inches shorter than the right leg, with an unnaturally bent knee and bruising all over.
Personality: She is very energetic and outgoing, because of her lack of exercise and her need to talk to others. She is not upset by the fact that she can barely move by herself, but instead excited by the idea that she might become the first ninja who can’t use taijutsu (supposedly). She works much harder than average and excels in most mental areas (except keeping calm). She is very protective of her good leg, and if anyone mentions the possibility that it might get so much as a mud smear on it, she will fly into a rage.

Background Info
History: She was born to a non-ninja family, and was born in an unfortunate way. During her birth, their village was the battleground between two disagreeing clans. Her father died and her mother was injured, leading to her being born with a permanently deformed leg. She grew up with her mother’s teachings, that the world of shinobi was an evil place and shouldn’t be tempted to its evil doings. However, she secretly went to the ninja academy behind her mother’s back (claiming she had to exercise on her good leg). This is partially true, as she did in fact spend so much time on one leg that she has grown to be almost as fast on one as others are on two. However, she prefers to keep this a secret as to keep the attention of friends and possibly surprise someone someday. Then, one day, she came home from the academy to find her mother bleeding out from a kunai in her stomach. Her mother, in a state of shock, explained that she knew about the academy and wanted her to go on to make her proud, and show the world that anything was possible. After her mother died, she had even more reason to go full out in her training, becoming better than the other trainees in everything except taijutsu and focusing. She to this day doesn’t know who killed her mother, but intends to find out…
