By unpredictable, I mean in the traditional since as in terms of how a person will do something on a whim rather than compiling thoughts and making decisions after weighing out consequences (Not saying Luffy doesn't do that, he just acts on a whim more often than not). It's more predictable for us because we see it as readers but Luffy still acts on a whim most of the time.

@Romona, don't let the art get to you. At first I was like, "What the hell is this?", but the art progresses and so does the story. In the first couple of arcs you'll be emotionally attached to some of the characters. You'll loathe some, but eventually you'll begin to enjoy their presence. I never really fully understood what people saw in one piece at first; but i've realized it's more than becoming the Pirate King, more than being the best swordsman, more than conquering fear. It's about journeying with your friends at seemingly hopeless journeys, but overcoming them together. That is the art, that is One Piece!

Wait till you get to Luffy's story. Luffy gets a couple hundered chapters to himself.

Also, wait till you get to my favorite arc in One piece, Sabaody. Saying that arc is awesome is just an understatement.

Nico Robin was one of the character with best backstory in OP,that is true. Apart from her it's Nami and Brook. Oh well,apart from Luffy and Zoro everyone of strawhats has a sad past.

Off topic I want to start reading One piece where should I start i really don't feel like starting from chapter 1

it just isn't the same if you skip stuff, the first 100 chapters set up the main characters it's one of the most important parts and with chapter 100 ''the legend begins'' (anyone see what I did there?)

Hey man, you should totally watch Eines Lobby and on. Fights are very well animated and it delivers much more drama and stuff. Like, when I was watching OP the number of goosebumps and teary eyes is hella high compared to Naruto.
Seriously, go watch it, it isn't like Naruto where animation sucks, it's actually satisfying to watch .
