Madara spent a lot of time away from the village. He planned and gathered intel for most of his life. It is likely that he witnessed Edo Tensei himself at some point or managed to read forbidden scrolls containing information on Edo tensei. Or maybe zetsus observed Orochimaru vs Hiruzen and gave Madara information on it then.

I doubt very highly that he orchestrated Tobirama coming up with that jutsu. Why not invent it himself and rig it to activate using a zetsu sacrifice at the right time? Your theory makes no sense.
