The gameplay-showcase was extremely bland. It was nothing like the first trailer. I guess they only did it for Sony, so they could show some HDR effects and 4K resolution for the upcoming PS4 Pro.

You play as a new character (Ryder, who is female by default), and its story is separate from the original trilogy (I think it takes place far away and many years later).

Speaking of Andromeda, I'm pretty hyped to play it, even though my relationship with the original trilogy was complicated. I mean, it looks like Andromeda is going to be what I expected the first game to be - a more or less seamless space exploration game.
