○ Basic Information ○

Name: Masaki Nagakura (永倉 昌樹, Nagakura Masaki)
Nickname: N/A
Age: 21
Gender: Male
Clan: N/A

Appearance: Masaki appears as a tall and foreboding man, standing at 187cm tall with a muscular build. he has short, pitch-black hair and brown eyes, compliemented with tanned skin. Evidently, the man is the type who has always been blessed with a larger build and good bone structure, which his body reflects. It's also quite evident that while seemingly rough around the edges, he's quite soft.

The appearance of his clothing hasn't changed much over the years he's been inaugurated as a shinobi. During free time moments when he's not particularly busy or on a mission, Masaki can be found wearing your typical white t-shirt with black shinobi grade pants. If on a mission or outing, he throws on an old flak jacket, with wear and tear all over it, in a slightly greyish colour, signifying how old and tattered it is.

Personality: "Honesty is a virtue" is the best way to describe Masaki. Truthful and sincere, almost to a fault; it's not too difficult for the boy to at least become friendly with other people. He was always seen as kind and speaks with a lighthearted tone, even if his appearance did somewhat appear to be initimidating. Masaki also seems to be a man who respects authority, believing that one should treat others how they'd like to be treated. More often than not he'll speak formally to others, using honorifics regardless of their social standing.

As a young boy, Masaki developed some eccentric personality quirks; namely a strong sense of morality and a mild sense of haemophobia. He's not what you would call a hero of justice, but someone who will fight if the situation calls for it. Regardless, he's quite the passive man and isn't the type to incite combat. He does hold some semblence of feelings for the typical protagonists you'd see in a shounen manga, however. Fighting for your friends was one of his stronger suits; people who crossed his morality was surely to meet an abrupt ending. Though reluctant to fighting, his victoriousness seems to end with small prayer, no matter how horrible or vile his opponents were.

Haemophobia isn't necessarily a personality trait, but something that should be mentioned. Masaki from a young age has been subjected to horrible sights and smells. In particular, the vicious scent that blood gives off, and the distinct noises bones make when they crack is something that sets him off easily. Getting too close to puddles of the stuff is enough to halt him in his tracks and induce vomiting. He doesn't seem to be phased by his own, however.

○ Background Information ○

For the most part, Masaki's past is widely unknown to most people - even himself. This isn't because of an indirect personality, or not having many friends. No, this was purposely shut out of his life for the trauma that was inflicted upon him as a child was revolting and he would much rather not remember such a gruesome past. It all started as a tale of two boys: Masaki, and Hiroto.

"Let's be family." Those words beckoned out of Hiroto's mouth upon their first acquaintance at such a young age. There was something special blossoming between these two boys. Pure innocence, one could see it as. "I've loved Hiroto since he said that to me."

The rest of his life was hell.

From what information had told him, Masaki grew up within the affluent parts of Sunagakure. His parents were vile creatures who festered on those of lower hierarchy. The Nagakura family had some dark secrets as to how they became afflicted with the higher echelons of the Sand.

Human trafficking. Slavery. Torture.

The young boy wanted nothing of the sort. How could one manage to perform such vile actions and still keep their sanity!? This was torture, and even that description barely scratched the surface. The secrets lying below where he lived could only be noted as abhorrent. It was disgusting; the bloody scent would occasionally seep through the floorboards, only to cause heinous reactions on his part. While rare, high-pitched screams could be heard coming from young boys and girls alike; he didn't even want to think about what was happening to their untainted bodies. Ruthless and repugnant, some nights Masaki would even struggle to sleep because of the putrid smells and grinding of bones.

Even at a young age, he was forced to fight and endure - to live on a normal life. He made friends and played ninja, normal things a kid his age would do.

Though it was one special winter night where he would come of age. Fifteen years old his father brought him down into the cellar to take on the family business. Walking down those stairs this boy couldn't help but to hold his nose. The sight of everything was enough to cause his gag reflex to kick into action, but that was just the beginning of it all. His first real challenge was quite possibly the hardest he would have to face yet. Right at the bottom of the stairs held a single boy who looked to be his age. He looked like he hadn't eaten in days; he was rotting, chained up naked. Masaki could only speak one word from the sight.

"Hiroto..."

It was more than enough to set him off. Of course he was angry, but what was there to do about it? He was angry, pissed, disgusted with what was happening at the time. On his knees, he couldn't help but vomit his guts up. The smell, noise and sight was finally getting to him after all this time.

His father, the head of the Nagakura family ordered him to stab the hanging man, and handed Masaki a fine blade in order to do so. He was reluctant, there's no way he could just kill someone, let alone someone he loved. Hiroto couldn't even muster up the strength to speak, let alone look at Masaki. What--no, how did he even get in this position?

His father was growing impatient. Masaki refused to accept this reality. What had happened next was nothing short of horrific; his father pulled out a small dagger and [REDACTED TEXT], leaving Masaki covered in the blood of the man he loved. His father's cold, dead body just lied there, while Hiroto was left hanging, dead.

One way or another, the boy managed to get out of that hellhole and escape the village where he was born and raised. Not much else is remembered of his past aside from the boy who was killed before his eyes. Everything else is intentionally blanked out for his own convenience. A new slate for a new life.

○ Other Information ○

Earth Release Affinity: The Earth was strong, mighty and unwavering - everything Masaki wasn't. Though in the Ninja academy it was discovered that it was his chakra's natural affinity. Perhaps it was a reflection of his self worth; what he wanted to become. No one knows the true depth and philosophy for why Masaki was so strongly affiliated with Earth Release, but he was. After much training with various sensei over the years that had passed, he's now capable of performing all techniques with a single hand seal, to show his testament to the element.

Master Puppeteer: No one knows how Masaki came into possession of the Puppeteer's arsenal. Rumors say it was because of his passive nature that he came to love them. The dolls were first and foremost used for entertainment purposes, but like most ninja also affluent in the art, he's also capable of using them as a weapon. Another big reason for his choice in art was because of the passive nature of how they would act and fight. The use of poison was slow burning and volatile. His techniques gave him the ability to kill, but without the drawing of blood or anything else that would set off horrible memories.

In addition to this, he carries several scrolls containing various puppets inside which he can use in battle. These range from basic everyday dolls to even more complex ones. Masaki's nature in fighting has driven him to fight with the intention of capture, as opposed to death. Unless stated otherwise, he's always seen carrying Kuroari around physically.

Passion for Genjutsu: While not technically an affinity or specialty, Masaki's shown to have knowledge of various illusions which he can use and cast on his opponents. Mind games weren't always his strongest suit, as he's not shown to be very persuasive or mysterious, but serve as a way of fighting for him without the need to resort to physical violence. In most cases, he only uses it as a means of getting out of an unneeded fight, although there have been times where he would use it in other situations. Needless to say, it's not a common occurence from him.

Born with Magnetism: Overhearing from some people at a nearby tavern one night led to him finding out about his special ability in Magnetism. "Those Nagakura people seem to be blessed with something..." It wasn't much but he did ponder about the situation. From what he understood it had something to do with the Magnetism Kekkei Genkai that he was unawarely blessed with. Seeing as its a recent addition to his arsenal, he's currently looking for someone who can help him explore it further.

I love you so much right now. No homo though...yet.

Perfect choice. I think I've read the entire 3 or 4 chapters. Been a while though. I like the overall tidiness of the bio as well.

Cheers! :D

I tried to go for the clean and simplistic look this time.

Same! I'm still waiting on the next chapter where (hopefully) it stops being NTR and starts being cute. :pkun:
