The villian used the fact that iron mans parents were killed by winter soldier to make them fight among each other (captain america, winter soldier, iron man). How did he know iron man was going to show up? no one knew that, not even iron man, he followed them on a whim, a last ditch effort. so your telling me this villain based everything, his plan which he was formulating since the avengers two on whim? its stupid and poor storytelling.

did you ever hear mention batman vs superman BTW? I never even watched that shit of a movie. But its obvious this is the basses of your argument. Whether you like it or not, watchmen had a better story, better characters, and better direction then all of those marvel movies. Batman is villain who was created due to the crime ridden Gotham. Christopher Nolan obviously wanted to express this which is why the visual for his Batman series his better than any of those lame Marvel movies. quality over quantity my friend.

And I know who the hell Batman is and I know exactly what Batman is, and that Batman you see in those films. It may be Nolan's vision but that's where you fail to grasp that his vision, wasn't so bright. Also if you are calling all the Marvel movies lame. It's obvious who the biased one is here. Because I never said all the DC movies were "lame" Also I hate hearing "quality over quantity" because most of the time when it is stated. The opposite side of the coin has both the quality AND the quantity. And in this situation, Marvel has it all

Civil War was the same tone as the other movies. Nothing wrong with it.

I understood the dream sequence(not a dream btw) cause I have some Dc knowledge. Most Doomsday incarnations dont talk anyways so didn't bother me much. But I agree it can be confusing if your going in without background. Personally if there was a problem with it i think they crammed too many story-lines in. Dos coulda been its own movie

I know what the dreams consisted of darkseid, apokolips planet, clone minions, et but it was still thrown in stupidly and confused the plot.

You are right, viewers with no background knowledge would just forget what happened becus its so vague and confusing. I know because all my friends were lost.


Civil War was actually the darkest one yet with the tone of revenge and vengeance. Along with fruends about to kill each other at times. Yet they perfectly balanced the darkness with light tones. Marvel movies have something everyone can identify with in my opinion. Both kids and adults.

DC seems to be targeting older viewers but it seems they are still finding a place in all this. In my opinion the characters need more emotional range. Batman in the latest movie was great however.

face it DC has better story telling, better characters development, and the directors do a better job with visuals aesthetically.

The flashpoint scenes were basically to set up the next movies it barely took up any time in the movie which why I don't see why people complained about it.

Tone wise civil war was about the same as avengers 2 both had deaths but in avengers a main character died. I enjoyed the movie tho. Comparing it with BvS is useless in my opinion because marvel has their universe established pretty well and are in the double digits and this is DC's 2nd movie in this continuity. Overall i was fine with the dark aspect of it depends on the audience I guess.
