18 is the legal age which you are an adult so you can marry and have sexual relations with whoever is of legal age.

yes, age is just a number, I dated a girl that was six years older then me when I was 20, it work out find. if you have things in common like ***, reading, tv show, drugs, drinking, just anything to keep other from borem. then yes oh u have to have more then one thing in common

They are both legal adults. They can marry if they want. I would have loved to bang a hot 40 something cougar when I was 18. Bonus points if she's a teacher.

I personally find that big of an age gap rather disturbing. But hey, if they love each other and it's legal, then I don't care what they do. It just might be difficult for a relationship like that seeing as being 18 and 40 are two totally different stages in one's life.

The age limit for me would be 7 years older and 2 years younger. I'd prefer someone a little older.

Doesn't bother me to be honest. When you read some novels or have witnessed actual couples that have turned out successful with a similar age gap you realise how narrow our minds are because of society.
What I see is sometimes when an 18 year old decides to try a 40 yo they want someone who is developed in their career and mature in the mind. I wouldn't fall into an age gap that large, but I do find most of the actors in their 30-40's the most attractive. Anything younger than like 22 I feel looks too young.
In a real relationship though I wouldn't go younger than 2 years or older than about 8.

An 18 yr old is considered a legal adult, thus she/he would be a woman/man and legally able to marry a man/woman of any (legal) age she/he desires...But some just do it for the money not love.

Hmmm... They love each other now, but that big difference in ages may cause a lot of problems. Both of them think veery differently. For example, what if one of them wants the child (person in 40s) because he/she doesn't want to look like a grandpa to his/her child and the other one think it's too early and wants more freedom before that?
I say, they love each other now, but that might change in future very fast (one of examples above can cause that).
