he chose his death like a badass real true hero and genius, he wanted his freedom like an addict after Naruto ravaged him in the chuunin exam and what he did to Hinata was unforgivable because she's not responsible for the insanity of the Hyuga clan and what they did to him and his father.
he felt so much guilt for treating Hinata like shit for years and also mocking Naruto when he swore on her blood to kick his ass right to the moon, that his redemption and liberation were only possible with an ultimate sacrifice,
