[Discussion] Marco the Phoenix vs Marshall De Teach (Black Beard)?

I'll start with Marco,
1) Marco has Admiral level haki, being able to go head on with Kizaru and Aokiji and block Akainu magma punch!
2) Marco has his Phoenix regenerative powers
3) Marco can fly and turn into complete Phoenix and he's pretty fast

Now Black Beard;
1) Black Beard has no haki
2) Black beard can turn his body into dark matter absorbing all kinds of fruit powers
3) Black beard has black hole push and pull powers

So who wins?
I think Marco might be able to take this high difficulty...

Honestly, I say Blackbeard simply because he now has Whitebeard's fruit, and knows how to use it well. He can also cancel out Marco's regenerative fire. However I don't think we have seen everything Marco can do yet.

Blackbeard does have haki and is aware of it , although it is very poor

Sorry, but Marco doesn't stand a chance against Blackbeard. If he could beat Blackbeard, then Marco would be a Yonko, but he's not.

Sorry, but Marco doesn't stand a chance against Blackbeard. If he could beat Blackbeard, then Marco would be a Yonko, but he's not.

BB is shown to be one of the cockiest bastards in the world of OP and he thought he was God with the yami-yami no mi, but now with the gura-gura no mi he'll think is epitomizes invincibility. Meaning, he only had two options during the 2 years; train his quaking power to WB quality or develop Haki, so unless he chose the latter, he's not >Marco.
Furthermore, if you argue he had Haki prior to the TS, than why wouldn't he use against WB in his life/death brawl?

P.S. Tashigi does have the staircase-staircase fruit and is of it's powers but hasn't decided if she should eat it or not.

Being a 'D' doesn't automatically make you strong also look at it this way if Marco could beat Teach he would have done it by now it's just one of those things where the evil guy is stronger than well...the nicer guy.

It's been foreshadowed that Teach will fight Shanks on a equal level so it makes no sense for someone weaker than Shanks to be able to beat him, not to mention Teach is a major rival for Luffy in finding One Piece.

At the moment the only people I think are capable of defeating Teach are.

- Sakazuki
- Monkey D Dragon
- Shanks
- Monkey D Garp

Now people who might be able to beat Teach are:

- Rayleigh
- Kaido
- Big Mam

I never said it makes strong, in fact, I wrote strong and D. as two separate reasons. And the reason I mentioned D. is because it was one of the reasons the Gorosei gave for him.


And I know BB will fight Shanks and beat him, but that doesn't mean his on his level yet, just like Luffy and many others, BB needs to progress, so him being >Marco means he's >Admiral; meaning he's Top 10 which he's not at this moment. Also, his progression needs to start off as the weakest Emperor and gradually become the strongest Emperor by defeating the current strongest Emperor and eventually be PK level or just below. And this will be shown as the Emperor's fall (Kaido=2nd strongest since he will be taken down by Luffy & Law, BM=3rd strongest by being beaten by Luffy, Shanks=1st and defeated by BB thus giving him the 1st position).

And this all means that if (as of now), Marco>BB, it makes sense.

As for those who an beat BB, there are more than you've included.

I'd say Rayleigh should be on the upper list...
That guy is WB level but currently being older pretty much weaker... He easily dominated Kizaru

I was thinking of putting Rayleigh there but the Gura Gura No Mi is what could possibly decide the outcome Teach with just the Yami Yami No Mi loses easily to Rayleigh.

Also I put Rayleigh might be able to still beat him.

1) he didn't show any sign of having Haki, but he can have now
2) he CAN'T turn his body into dark matter, he COVERS his body with his DF power. his DF is NOT a logia type bro...
3) what? I don't remember seeing anything like that. he can use his power like that mud user did in the fishman island arc, but nothing more.

It would be a battle to rival the Aokiji vs Akainu fight. But I think that Blackbeared will pull through in the end with low difference.
