Naruto Ninja Storm 3 other than it's obligatory cut off ending does not mess with the Naruto story. In the Swordsmen swarm battle where you fight as Might Guy Mangetsu is very clearly described by a character and accepted by Guy as the strongest of the Swordsmen of the Mist.

They also trusted the scroll and all their weapons to this young teenager who had mastered all of their swords. No words. He is a descendant of the 2nd Mizukage so it's obvious To see where the strength comes from. Having the power to kill people with his bare hands and the OP hydrafication tech on top of his kenjutsu mastery. With Samehada he can even absorb lighting attacks. In comparison, Suigetsu (my Bae) really is just a layabout drifter)

Mangetsu may rival Hiruzen in walking hype machine we never got to see. Thoughts?

Maybe, Kisame would be pretty close (though Mangetsu would win against cuz like water doesn't work on him...)

Kisame says hello.

Might Guy fought Kisame 3 times and could remember him by this point.

And whilst I'll give you that Kisame the likely the stronger ninja generally, 1v1 he's not doing much to him at all.

Kisame's attacks focus on draining chakra. If Mangetsu gets hit with Samehada or Great Shark Missile, it's over. I still think Kisame is the strongest swordsmen since it was only by coincidence that Gai happened to be one of the few can counter his Shark Missile.

Mangetsu mastered that sword also.

And was entrusted the scroll that can summon it away.

Dunno, by feats Kisame probably wins but Mangets just got so hyped.... (and he seems cool...)

Don't listen to these Kisame fans, Mangetsu is clearly the strongest and most skilled. Without Samehada Kisame is just a regular high jounin level ninja who would be able to do nothing against Mangetsu. Kisame wasn't even strong enough to take out Fuguki on his own.

He can only summon swords when they are not carried by other members. Chojiro and Bee kept their sword because they were the current own of it

Mangetsu only technique that we know of is hydrification and water bullet.

Kisame's Great Shark Missile is one of the most OP jutsu since it counters anything chakra based.

You went too far when you mentioned Hiruzen U_U

Hype tells us he was the most skilled of the swordsman and that his generation was the strongest, so i can partially agree. Kisame could still be stronger than him though.
