Apearance
Mangetsu has shoulder-length, light-coloured hair and pointed, shark-like teeth, the latter trait which all known members of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist possess. He wears an outfit very similar to his brother's, which consists of a dark, sleeveless shirt, light-coloured pants and striped leg-warmers typical of his village. Like his brother, he carries a water bottle attached to a belt around his waist and wears bandages around his neck, another trait shared by the seven swordsmen, and the standard Amegakure forehead protector, replacing his old one from Kirigakure. Overall, Mangetsu and Suigetsu bear great resemblance to one another.
Personality
Mangetsu was born in Kirigakure and was reputed alongside his brother, Suigetsu, to be the incarnation of the demon Zabuza Momochi. He and Suigetsu aspired to inherit the title of Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist. This acted as their motivation to finish cruel missions day by day. Having become one of the Seven Ninja Swordsman of the mist Mangetsu wishes to leave Kirigakure to collect swords, learn jutsu and to become well known throughout the whole shinobi world. Mangetsu often exhibits a very smart-mouthed attitude much like his brother. Although he is cheeky he is very loyal to his friends.
History
As one of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist, Mangetsu was one of the most powerful shinobi produced within Kirigakure. Mangetsu's generation of swordsmen was even noted to be the strongest in the village's history. According to his younger brother, Suigetsu, he was called the "Second Coming of the Demon" (鬼人の再来, Kijin no Sairai), which so happens to be the same nickname that Suigetsu himself shares. His skill, power and chakra were such that he was able to wield all seven blades of the swordsmen, including the notoriously picky blade: Samehada. He was also seemingly entrusted with the scroll which contained all of the other swords. Having left Kirigakure, Mangetsu now resides in the industrial city of Amegakure, training and going on missions with some of the best in the ninja world.
Equipment
Mangetsu carries a pouch next to his water bottle which is filled with all the standard ninja tools. He also stores ninja tools in his leg warmers. As one of the Seven Swordsmen Mangetsu posses a special sword of his own called Hiramekarei which he carries wrapped with bandages, strapped to his back.

Description:
Its said to have been originally wielded by Hozuki Mangetsu, the Hiramekarei is a very wide, flat blade with two curved indentations near its base, creating a sort of cross-guard. It has two handles which are connected to one another by a short length of cord, earning it the title of "twinsword" (双刀, sōtō). The overall sword looks like a flounder fish in shape and when unleashed, it emits chakra from the holes found at the top which coats the entire blade. Normally, the sword is, like Samehada, wrapped in bandages which are used to strap it to the users back. The sword is capable of storing chakra and the two holes at the tip of the blade emit it on command. This can then be formed into various weapons, including a hammer or a longer sword. The size of the resulting weapon appears to depend upon the amount of chakra stored up beforehand, meaning a larger quantity will be met with a similar increase in the weapon's ultimate size. These weapons are also formed with notable speed. The sword itself is virtually indestructible and can resist great amounts of punishment.
