[Spoilers] Mangekyou Sharingan=not overpowered after all.

If anyone has seen the latest manga(463), it was Raikage vs Sasuke. Sasuke failed with Chidori, so he had to resort to MS jutsu's. Then Raikage "power bombed" Sasuke into the ground, LOL. But Sasuke used Susano'o to shield himself from the damage. Then he tried to hit Raikage with Amaterasu, but Raikage dodged it because he was building a vast amount of lightning chakra around himself, which in turn made him move at the speed of teleporting. Basically when Raikage builds up his lightning chakra armor, he's even faster than Minato's normal speed.

Then when Raikage was about to punch Sasuke from behind(here's where the point to my thread starts), Sasuke had to create a shield of Amaterasu's flames on the outer edges of Susano'o. So since Sasuke doesn't have Yatas mirror or Totsuka's sword, Susano'o is nothing but a spiritual pair of ribs and arms around him. Seems like one can still slip past these limbs if aimed correctly.

Itachi's MS jutsu's are extremely powerful, but without Yatas mirror and Totsuka's sword(like how we have just witnessed in the latest manga), I don't think Itachi would have been able to kill someone like Orochimaru. If Tsukuyomi, Amaterasu and Susano'o WITHOUT Yatas mirror and Totsuka's sword are what the true MS jutsu's are meant to be, then Sasuke probably would have killed Itachi back in their fight fair and square.

So my bottom line is, Raikage is a "KAGE" level shinobi. Same goes with Gaara, Hiruzen, Tsunade......basically any other Kage, what have you. So since Raikage seems to be making short work of Sasuke(who has the Mangekyou Sharingan working at full capacity), is the MS really as powerful as we thought?

My answer is still yes, but basically shinobi are elected Kage for a reason. Like Hiruzen said, "Never underestimate the Hokage"They are the strongest and wisest of all shinobi in their village. (Best person for the job.) If Sasuke is having this much trouble with Raikage, I would like to see Sasuke fight Hiruzen(in his prime) or even Minato. Mostly because I like seeing Sasuke get his @$$ kicked!!

on the subject of Minato's speed... I find it odd Tobi was able to see through all Minato's movements. It's not like Hiraishin (Flying Thunder God Technique) requires hand seals.

Back to Sasuke and thinking he could take on Kages... I made a thread earlier asking why is Kishi making Sasuke so crazy enough to go to the place where ALL the KAGES are meeting. I was sure just one kage would be enough for him, and I stand corrected.

This is time first time Sasuke has used Susanoo so he's probably getting used to it. When Itachi debuted that technique to us, he probably had used it before, and even searched around the world for Yata's Mirror and the Totsuka Sword.

MS is still overpowered but the Raikage is one hell of a shinobi. His use of Raiton is superior to Sasuke's and his speed is impressive for someone of his build. I'm still wondering why Sasuke hasn't used Tsukuyomi since you'd think it'd be best to use a powerful genjutsu against a primarily taijutsu user. Susanoo is still incomplete but without the sword and mirror it can only help the user so much and it does consume their life force meaning it's really shown to only tank ninjutsu/taijutsu w/o that extra offense. I'd expect Itachi with his MS to have fought alot better.

i think it'll take time for sasuke to perfect susano.. but yea.. sasuke isn't enough for a kage level battle.. hes holding on right now with his strongest jutsus.. raikage hasn't exactly used much other than punching and elbowing.. and that powerbomb.. i think he's still got a whole arsenal of jutsus left.. sasuke wouldn't stand a chance against hiruzen or minato either..

latest manga raises some questions on level of strength of Susano'o Itachi had sword and mirror which are two seperate objects not part of susano'o. raikage manage to dodge amaterasu with shunshin no jutsu i.e. body flicker. That is no match for speed of Hiraishin. Itachi was dangerous not for MS but for his other jutsus also. You are right MS is not over powered. Only Itachi was the one who make them feel like overpowered.

I think that statement above qualifies as hatred. I know not everyone "hates" Sasuke but there is a huge amount of haters.

ON TOPIC: As Narutopedia says "Like the other Mangekyou Sharingan techniques, Susanoo comes with its own risks. To keep Susanoo sustained in the physical realm, the user must act as a medium for the deity, allowing it to consume their life force energy. This puts a severe strain on the user's body and prolonged use will lead to their death." As someone said earlier, couldn't it be possible that Sasuke instead of using the entire Susanoo chose to use the rib cage for defense which should take less of a burden on the user. Sasuke doesn't want to fight against Raikage and ultimately is attempting to fight Danzo. If he would use the entire Susanoo don't think Sasuke would have been able to fight fairly against Danzo if they fought later on due to Susanoo's drainage. I know this may not be true and Sasuke may truly have an imperfect Susanoo but this is my theory.​

lol, i didn't even see that. raiga bomb DID break one of susano'o's ribs. hah, the MS keeps getting weaker and weaker, thanks to sasuke.

no actually sasuke's suano'o IS in fact fully developed. if you're refering to totsuka's sword and yatas mirror, those don't count. those weapons were only weilded by itachi. when itachi died, so did those weapons. susano'o is nothing but a spiritual rib cage with arms, that's it. stop buttering susano'o up.

Moreover, Raikage has almost unlimited amounts of chakra and a shield which even chidori can't cut though, let alone rasengan. (Because chidori is a pierce while rasengan overall destructive).

So basically Rasenshuriken is Naruto's only hope, but even Pein could avoid It.. and with Raikages speed RS is also a no problem.

What do you mean normally?

His subordinates said that he moves with almsot speed of light.
Zetsu, who is member of akatsuki said that Raikage is extremely fast.

taken into account that amaterasu is nothing but a reflection of light in sasuke's eyes, Raikage's Shunshin no jutsu is faster speed of light.

So basically my point is that Naruto wouldn't be able to defeat Raikage in his Sage Mode only, unless his speed is higher. But that's very debatable, as we can't compare their speed. But taking into account the fact that Pein's God Realm was able to see though Naruto's strikes and even catched his hand once, Raikage is faster, as even sharingan can't fully track him.
