Mangekyou Question...

The source of my question comes from this link about the third paragraph, beginning with this statement

"Only by taking and transplanting the Mangekyō of another Uchiha — integrating the two pairs of eyes in the process — can the vision be restored, a process that results in the creation of an Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan (永遠の万華鏡写輪眼, Eien no Mangekyō Sharingan)."

So my question is this.. If itachi during the massacre transplanted say his father's/cousin's/uncle's..ect Sharingan[also for the sake of example say the already have MS]..would he gain EMS? i was under the impression it had to be your sibling but in this link it just says another uchiha.

Is it just assumed that you MUST use your brother's eye because thats how madara unlocked it but is there evidence that hints that you can use any uchiha's sharingan?

I would personally believe that it works with any MS and not only the brother's/sister's... but we've never seen that in the manga yet =/

I thought it was Brother / Sister as well but the manga states you can trade eyes between clansmen..

Well i never searched like you but acoording to Itachi he told to sasuke in anime that by your eyes i'll fullfill my ems pair eyes which are blind now.he gave e.g of madara takin his brother's eyes.....
But in fact itachi wudn't do it coz he just wanna trigger hate in sasuke and kill himself with the hands of sasuke so that he cud gain EMS and be a strong shinobi enough to kill tobi uff. Obito.

The manga said that it had to be between clansmen, and it works only if the other person has MS as well, so back then only Itachi had MS so he couldnt gain EMS...

It can be through clansmen, but a sibling is recommended for greater compatibility.

Well, back then Itachi only knew about MS and not EMS.....its only after he joined Akatuski, met 'Madara' did he come to know about EMS.

So I think he could have taken the eye of his close relatives. Cuz if he knew it back then, he would've kept an eye for himself.
