There have been very few Uchiha's who have been able to awaken their MS....
Each Character's MS has some Unique Ability than the other's....
Kotoamatsukami - Shisui Uchiha
Tsukuyomi, Amaterasu and Susanoo - Itachi Uchiha, Sasuke Uchiha and Madara Uchiha
Kamui - Obito Uchiha(and Kakashi Hatake)
Izuna's MS special ability has not been mentioned yet in the Manga....
The MS is awakened when the user goes through great emotional trauma.... My theory is that the special or unique power that each user has is the manifestation of the user's desire while going through the emotional trauma....I'll put it in a simple way....
Kakashi - When Kakashi killed Rin to avoid the enemy taking Rin alive or dead he might have wished that only if he could hide Rin somewhere from the enemy then there would be no need for him to kill her.... Thats why his MS gives him an access to another dimension....
Obito - When Obito saw Kakashi killing Rin from a distance he might have wished that if he could reach there in no time he could have stopped Kakashi.... That's why he possesses Teleportation.... and Kakashi and Obito's wishes gave rise to Kamui.... A power where the user can teleport between places and dimensions....
Itachi - He saw war and death in early childhood.... The Uchiha's revolt plans, his life of double agent and Shisui's apparent death at his hands might have made him wish for a world where he himself controls everything.... That's why he got the power of Tsukuyomi....
Sasuke - Lived with the horror of seeing his brother killing his own clan in his childhood and later learned the ugly truth behind it.... After learning the truth about Itachi Sasuke might have wished similarly of a world where he controls everything.... So Tsukuyomi....
Shisui - His backstory is unknown but I guess while he was going through the emotional trauma he might have wished for the power to change the way people think so he got Kotoamatsukami.... The Power to control others minds....
Madara - He awakened his MS alongwith his brother while they were probably still at war with the Senju.... So I think he wanted the power to control.... So he has Tsukuyomi....
