So I've been lurking around and posting a few threads here and a few replies there and I couldn't help but notice that people lost sight of what could be the most important message in this great story; power does not matter if you have the will, the smarts and a bit of luck ! ( note the order in which they are mentioned because it matters)

With those 3 ingredients, you can accomplish anything ( holds true even life).

I understand why people go down the road of: " Yeah this guy has a technique that blows the heart of his foes and it also makes ice cream so it's complete BS when he loses" because the manga shows right now some shinobi with extraordinary features, characters that seem completely unbeatable. But this my friends is a textbook method to demonstrate how important the 3 aforementioned ingredients are.

Here's a perfect exemple.
People call BS when Obito looses to Kakashi, because he has rinnegan and kamui and the juubi. I call it he had a stronger will ( also I think that Obito is slowly loosing interest in that whole infinite tsukyomi thing therefore his own will got weaker) and he outsmarted Obito big time.

From the early pages of this story it was the morale behind it and it is what that makes it, even into my grown person's eyes, a magnificent tale.

Never give up, be smart and luck will be on your side.

It's about sending a message through the manga and unfortunately most people don't get the message :p
i love the plot and all , it did cover pretty good concepts but at some points , plot no jutsu really was used .

In my humble opinion PNJ is something invented by people who don't want to see their favorite character loose. Some things might seem too good to be real in some situation but it comes down to of my 3 points which is luck.

Nice thread and i agree with you dattebayo!
Thank you very much :)

I agree, its all about the iron will and the smarts to back it up, thats why itachi and minato are my fav charactors and i think naruto has inherited their will of fire. and hopefully sasuke will too but who knows what that mofo is gonna do.

So how the **** did Kakashi outsmart Obito?

All I saw was Kakashi lunging with a Electrified Kunai and stabbed Obito straight through. Obito could of countered that attack in 100 ways.

I can see the quote can apply to the following
Naruto defeating Kakuzu and Pain.
Sasuke defeating Killer Bee.
Sasuke defeating Danzo
Shikamaru defeating Hidan.

Definitely doesn't apply to Kakashi defeating Obito.

.................nice you got the point. Apprently some folks don´t give credit at all to wits.

Rockefeller, Jobs, Phelps, Basquiat..I mean, timetwisters are as such so... the tale about 2 dudes, very close friends and a 1000 jutsus might be a metaphor to the might of holding to values, incarnating them .

Sooooooooo corny, but true.
