Mangas Similar to Elfen Lied

Alright so I just finish reading Elfen Lied's manga and I got to say I loved the manga and found it really interesting and yet disturbing at the same time.At first the series seemed really violent and gruesome to me manga but something about story's plot & Lucy and Kouta relationship made me want to continue the manga till the end.Then the story got interesting and interesting to me when Lucy fought Nana,when we find out what Lucy did to Kouta's family and the end,ohh the end.The only thing I would have to say I hated was the ending because it left some unanswered questions and that really pissed me off and upset me at the same time.

Also I forgot to mention this above but I've have only read 3 manga before obliviously Naruto(not violent or gory),Tower of God(action packed but not gory)and Elfen Lied(violent,gore, disturbing,yet amazing).So in comparison Elfen Lied was on a whole nother level in violence,gore and plot wise.So it was a major shift in manga type for me.

So if any of you guys on the base know of any mangas or animes like Elfen Lied it would be widely appreciative if you posted them,thanks in advanced to anyone who does.Now I'm going to restart from the beginning of Elfen Lied's anime I stop watching it a week ago after I made a thread on whether I should finish the manga or anime first,the people who replied say manga so I kept my word and finish the manga first.

Sorry if I keep rambling but for anyone who hasn't read Elfen Lied I highly,strongly suggest you read it.And make sure that if you do choose to follow the series that you read the manga first it give a wider,more detailed explanation of the story and plot,then watch the anime which also was amazing based on what I can remember from a week ago.

Deadman Wonderland, Mirai Nikki, Another, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (this one is a little strange, but defs worth it), Jigoku Shoujo and Monster. That's all I can think of at the moment sorry.

These are all anime's, but I think a few have manga adaptation. If I think of anymore, I'll post them here for you!

Edit: Darker Than Black, Hellsing, Gantz, Death Note, Berserk, Highschool of the Dead (this one is really Ecchi, but has alot zombies getting slaughtered), Blood +.

brother you aint gonna find another manga like Elfien Lied and you should really watch the anime too, just don't eat before watching it or 30 minutes after you finish O_O

Cage of Eden is pretty good, Bloody Maiden is up there on the horror/gore level, kuroshitshuji is on the lighter side of horror but it has its moments, yakuza girl is completed and is high on the gore factor, shingeki no kyojin is a good one original story too, hohzuki island is a good suspense filled manga not quite as gory or horror filled as some of the others mentioned, shikabane hime is worth reading, re:birth the lunatic taker is gory and a bit on the horror side but i got bored of it after a while, terra formers is a short manga but violent and if you hate bugs than this won't help it, and thats just to name a few of the many mangas i've read that would fit in that.

but i do suggest after reading some of the horror mangas that you read something light hearted like fujimara-kun mates and nisekoi that way you'll be able to save what little humanity you'll have left because the japanese can get messed up in the mangas
